Match Making Onliine Services known as 'MMOs"

Back when I was growing up in the seventies parents wanted their children as far from strangers as possible.

Nowadays kids are not even allowed to play games if they don't subject themselves to playing with strangers.

I was just trying to play Blacklight Tango Down and although there are about four simple single player missions the meat of the game has to be played with strangers - There are no bots for skirmishes.

So as I sat there in a completely dead lobby watching the 'Please wait for three dirty old men to log in and play with you' flashing notice - I kinda thought that online only gaming is also a good way to introduce children to local drug dealers and terrorists hanging out in their neighborhoods while parents in the background go about watching TV never taking notice.

Anyway, it definitely wasn't the way my parents raised me but times have changed and I guess today's more open-minded society is attempting to be less judgmental and discretionary.
You're...joking...right?

When I read this, I assumed that he'd copy-pasted something from Fox News of Daily Mail or something. A Google search doesn't turn anything up, though.
I'm sorry but wtf, by your logic we should be locking our kids inside so they don't risk running into pedos, since by allowing them outside we risk letting them run into pedos as well. Or why not shut them away from all interaction with people so they can't get hurt. Why not just put the children into a plastic bubble so they can't be hurt from the outside?

Look dude, we need to teach kids how to interact with people and use their best judgment, so they can become self-sufficient adults. Shutting them away from strangers is not the answer whether it be online or offline.
Lok tar!

Ogar!
Wasn't he arrested for something? I thought I heard something about Chris Hansen getting busted for something or another. Be kind of funny if he ended up as a "guest" on To Catch a Predator. While I'm on the subject, that title is such false advertisement. In all that show's run I did not once see a Predator, just a bunch of creepy people. >.<!!!!
Are you that desperate to hate on MMOs?

I really don't believe kids should have too much unsupervised freedom before age sixteen.

Some naive casual PC using adults are at jeopardy as well.

Forcing gamers into interaction with others is herding them into a barrel to get taken advantage of.

Either none of today's generation know how to program or else leaving A.I. out of the equation opens doors to more lucrative ventures.

Of course not, silly, they were all cloaked.

I'm striking way below the belt I know. XD

But I'm so friggin' pissed at getting stuck with useless games either because no one plays them online any more or the few that actually do you get kicked thirty seconds in: "Padding", "Low Ping", "No Headset", "Non-1337"....
