It's this sort of shit that makes me ashamed to be a PC gamer.

That particular video has turned into a bit of an internet meme. I take it that it is related to some form of free software that automatically more or less lip-syncs text to those two characters, usually with one being rather oblivious to how things actually are (the same way as a fanboy is), and the other one trying to explain things to the poor oblivious character (who still refuses to understand things)

So that's what it was, I was starting to think all these cartoons were made by the same guy, I kinda wish they were :P It is obnoxious but I agree with 100% I used to be a console gamer and I owned a lot of games that were ported from the PC. When I got a real PC I never looked back.

Because it's a stupid discussion that 10 years old fanboys use to inflate their e-penis. Seriously, it's just stupid. Consoles and PCs are different and will always be. Their purposes are totally different. Consoles are made to run games, PCs are not, playing games is just another function.

This is one of the topics that annoys me the most. The same BETTAR GRAFIX, DX11, MOUSE KEYBOARD RULEZ arguments again and again do get annoying.

Looking at the suggested videos almost made me puke on my screen. "7 reasons why PC gaming is better", "PC gaming sucks", oh man, the world is full of idiots.

10 years? Where I'm from there are children who were born after I was arguing about that with friends who are now able to legally buy their own liquor.

One could argue that he is trolling due to the intentionally rather rude way he presents his arguments. The arguments might (almost) be entirely truthful, but he could have phrased things a lot better.


I say almost, because you don't need to change console quite as often as stated, and there is a competitive fighting game scene that is almost entirely console (and arcade) exclusive.

I find keyboard superior in most games. Keyboard fails decisevely in fighting games (like Tekken or like Devil may cry) and sports games.

True. Between console and PC control schemes, it's definitely the mouse that makes the difference. Mouse + flight stick might be an excellent combo. The benefit of the keyboard is that it is standardized, as are most keyboard controls these days. If you used a flight stick instead of a keyboard, you'd probably have to map all the controls yourself for each and every game. On the other hand, you'd have analog control over your movement as well as your view direction. It might be worth a try.

I prefer consoles for all the complex stuff you can do. What the Dreamcast has to offer with modding is great. Also, it has more complex games. Those JRPGs really offer some number crunching. What I like with PC gaming is the simplicity. Just clicking install and it runs. Nothing to bother with. Also, there are a lot of jump 'n' runs due to the indie surge.
