No. If I really wanted play some ps3 exclusive game, I can play with m brothers ps3, but I play most PC games. All the games that I want to play, I can buy for the PC and PC games is still cheaper. Is a big difference between paying the game for 5 euros or 60 euros.

There are some games I'd like to play but purchasing a console is out of the question. And PC is more than enough,

I've been 95% PC only for 20 years, but I did purchase a PS1 and PS2. Mostly for Final Fantasy games, though I did buy other console exclusives on occasion.
There are console exclusives I am interested in this generation. Mostly Red Dead Redemption, Condemned 2 and The Darkness. I keep hoping for super late ports of these even to this day, though I know they most likely will never happen.
I keep looking at the PS3. It has the three games above plus some other exclusives I might like such as the Killzone games, Uncharted games, Dragon's Dogma and maybe Infamous. Playing GTA5 months earlier would be nice. The thing that holds me back is honestly time. I don't have the free time to play all the PC games I want to play, so the idea of adding a whole other system with a dozen or more games I want for it is... well, daunting. Scary even.
Also I fucking hate analog sticks for aiming, so I would probably cuss at the screen the whole time I tried to play Killzone.

Having PS3 is fairly nice for those few exclusive good games - Uncharted, RDR, TLOU, MGS4, Journey..
But yeah if those games were on PC, I would never get console. It is too bad they are artificially restricted to certain platform like that.

Nah. If I were a bit more rich, then maybe I'd just buy a PS3 for those few exclusives I'm interested in. Otherwise, I can manage.
Also, playing anything that requires aiming or camera control on a pad is an unpleasant, awkward experience, sooo nope.

zer00o: we all know that PC gaming is great, yet, seeing what happened with red dead redemption and now gta 5, is there a game good enough that you would buy a console to play?
i was going to buy a current gen console myself so i could play these games a swell as the last of us,metal gear etc.
however, when i saw the trailers for cyberpunk and the Witcher 3, i figured I'll manage without a console.
just wanna know how you guys feel about the apparent "death of PC gaming".

I'll probably pick up a second-hand Wii for those Nintendo exclusives. Apart from that, no.

Why would I need to, I still have my old NES. It works too, so long as you blow on the cartridges every five minutes.

I bought Playstation for Gran Turismo, and a few other console-only games whose name escape me right now. Probably some J-RPGs that got a lot of praise. Before that I was pretty much a computer-only gamer (even before IBM PC even was a viable gaming machine). I've always liked the multi-purpose nature and relative freedom of "gaming computers" over dedicated walled-garden gaming devices, I guess. So I guess the answer is "yes". Then again, with current and newer consoles there are things that rub me the wrong way (lack of backwards compatibility, games overlapping with PC gaming too much, moving more and more to social online features and DRM), so it does seem to be becoming a similar question as:
"Would you buy OnLive games, if it had good enough exclusive titles?"
Maybe, but I hope I don't have to.
About the "death of PC (gaming)", I think the current chant is that it is the tablets that will kill PC, and PC gaming, or at least make them a small niche and irrelevant. Not the consoles. Believe if you will. Just yesterday I read a couple of such articles from ZDNet, the authors acted as if they don't necessarily want PC to die, but they are 130% certain that this will happen in time (in fact, that it "must(?) happen"), as 99% of people rather use walled-garden tablet devices _exclusively_.
Oh yeah, this was one of the articles:
http://www.zdnet.com/windows-isnt-dying-its-just-becoming-irrelevant-7000018434/
I agree that many things that were earlier done exclusively on PCs can now be done on tablets (like Skyping, watching Youtubes etc.), but I still can't get my head around the idea how to use a tablet for anything else, anything remotely productive work.
I'm believing more that PCs, especially laptops, will simply adopt some features from tablets, like touchscreens. But if I look at people like my gf who is still bugging me to buy a proper laptop to complement the ASUS Android tablet that she feels is too restricted for her casual use (she is no way a computer wizard), that already tells me a lot whether tablets really can replace PCs altogether, even in home use.
But who knows...

I've got a bit of money to spare at the moment so while I haven't had a console since the N64 I'll be grabbing a PS4 when they come out. I'll sit that little sucker right under the 55 inch TV I'm getting next month. i was going to buy a current gen console myself so i could play these games a swell as the last of us,metal gear etc.

No single game is good enough to get a new console for, this is the same for upgrading/buying a new PC. I find that doing this for one game hypes it up in my mind to a point that it simply cannot deliver on and it all ends up in disappointment. I am therefore looking forward to a slew of games on the PS4.
As for the "death of PC gaming" that's just the standard doom and gloom bullshit I hear about everything on the internet. PC gaming is dieing, Every MMOG is dieing, Adventure gaming is dieing(or already dead), Console gaming is dieing, Superhero movies are dieing and so on and so forth. I don't pay any heed to this.

The question also extends to console gamers. If you have a PS3, will you also buy XBox360 for the Halo series, or some other XBox-exclusive titles? How about the Nintendo-exclusive titles?
So, there are lots of great exclusive titles on many (closed) systems, also dead ones like Dreamcast. So if one is really worried of missing out on any good games, I guess one always has to buy all the existing gaming consoles, and IPad, and PC, and who knows what else.
Most will not do that, but are fully content with being able to play only certain portion of games. I know there must be some great IPad-exclusive games too, but I am not buying the device for them, sorry.
