I'm trying to, uh, broaden my horizons a little. Pretty much the only gaming/computer forums I visit are this one and, occasionally, Rock Paper Shotgun's.

I'm basically looking for forums with mature (as in: not made purely of 13-year-olds) userbases. You know, the kinds that don't don't cause brain aneurysms with threads like "xbox vs ps3 lol" or "I AM TWELVE AND A HARDCORE GAMER, HERES MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL OF RETRO NES GAME REVIEWS XDDDD". You probably know the type.

So, as a well-adjusted and (for the most part) mature community - what other forums, communities, blogs etc. do you frequent? Examples of wrong answers: The Escapist forums, Kotaku, Screwattack.

Thanks!

I frequent TIGSource but never post there, just lurk. Seems like a pretty mature, well-rounded community if you're into the indie scene (which I have been since Aquaria happened).
RPG Codex. The place is acrawl with Poles, which should be a bonus to you.

I always found the neoseeker gaming forums to be reasonable.

Not sure if that's a bonus, us Poles can be pretty obnoxious. :P
I lurk there from time to time. I dig the general atmosphere, although the elitism, while understandable and amusing to a degree, can be sometimes suffocating.

Thanks for these, I'll check those out.

Not posting in, but sometimes reading the Penny Arcade forums. Seems pretty decent.
My main forum is VideoGameGeek. It's users are mostly PC gamers and some console gamers who were previously on BoardGameGeek, who tend to be older, more mature, and nicer than your average teenage forum user. They are both a game database, and forums, all mixed together, and the interface is really unintuitive to new users, but if you can figure it out, it's a nice place to chat videogames.

Yeah they're quite good, and PC is treated as an equal. GOG is another, for the most part, but hey you're already here.

Steam is nit. No, no, no.

I'm sure this will get me hate... but honestly the only other nice communities for gaming on the net I've found are console focused. This is the sole PC gaming forum of that nature (though there are a few developer forums that remain nice).

I'm not saying there's no other nice PC communities out there, I'm just saying it's been hard enough for me to find, I've given up, it's been easy for me to find a dozen or so pleasant console gaming groups and forums.
