Free or do we need to pay for the game when its released (not the beta)?

It looks awesome! Just signed up and got my beta key, although I did have to lie about where I live, as Denmark and Finland were for some reason not in the list of choices even though Sweden, Norway and Iceland (the rest of Scandinavia) was. I look forward to trying it, but I probably won't have time until tomorrow.

I meant the final game. Will it be free to play like NFS World, do we need to just buy it and play how much we want like Guild Wars, or pay to play like WoW or something?

They have been deliberately vague about their monetisation scheme, so a Guild Wars- or DDO-style payment structure is a possibility.

Yeah, I think it is a one off buy and play forever sort of thing from what I hear. It definately sounds interesting and worth a look at.

No one can play until tomorrow anyway, it doesn't appear to be a play as you like beta at the moment. First schedueled play time is tomorrow between 5 and 9pm GMT.

Oh great. That happens to coincide with the next event in my gaming community. Oh well, I'll see if I still have time afterwards.

Well, from the progress of the updater, it looks like the client won't be through installing before tomorrow night anyway, so...

The installer has a P2P button down in the bottom right to change it from direct download to a torrent.
