Arkose: BioWare yes, Rockstar no. GTA4 launched in a horribly broken state and still demands enormous amounts of video RAM despite wholly lacklustre graphics. According to reviewers Bully also got a horrible port.
I struggled thinking about whether to mention them :)
GTA IV was the first Rockstar PC game I had that was technically problematic, and I hope they are not going to repeat their mistakes. Considering this and even that they used online activation, it still feels to me like they care very much about their PC customers. Not only do they release almost every single one of their games for Windows, but they also put actual work into them. While other developers fail to optimise interface and controls for PCs, even have tutorials that still tell you to press X360/PS3 controller buttons, Rockstar ports give us stuff like the awesome video editor of GTA IV that go above and beyond of what you would expect from a straight port. Even though they might have their problems, Rockstar PC games still feel like they want to make us PC gamers happy, instead of just cheaply tapping into another market.
As mentioned above, I probably should have mentioned Blizzard as well.
