People have asked before, and they haven't yet added it. Not sure if they ever will. I don't have a paysafe card, but does it not work with the payment options provided?

Unfortunately actually I don't have any creditcard, even not one which works on prepay. The only game I have so far is Beneath a steel sky, and this was free. Paypal in Switzerland also asks for a creditcard, so this is no option for me. I am working on establishing a new prepaidcard, but this might use some three to four months as I am badly short on money. And the wait for my alltime favorite games is soo long under these circumstances. With paysafecard I could buy this moment my three favourites:

The prizes offered here are definitely very fair prizes. Paysafecard is not a classic creditcard of plastic, it's virtual cash. You have several places, where you can aks for paysafecard, then you pay with cash and receive a paper with a PINcode. Generally the sell out for CHF 25.00, 75.00 and 150.00. And then, when you buy online, it is necessary, that there is an option for paysafecard. You click this option and the paymentprocedure puts you on the site of paysafecard, where you enter your code. The amount needed for the payment will be booked off of your paysafecardbill, if there is a rest of cash, you may use this later with another payment.

It is extemely simple method of paying because you even have places where you may buy paysafecard-money on Sundays (at least in Switzerland and if you live in one of the bigger towns).

I know that recently PayPal has set up a system (in Slovenia and some other countries) allowing direct fund transfer from your bank account to your PayPal account. Perhaps a similar system is also in place with Switzerland?

Thanks for the update, I'll have a look on this. What me unnerves is, that it seems, that all those providers seem to think, that everyone has still a creditcard, even in those days of worldwide economical crisis. Well, I may speek for me alone, but I never will have a creditcard anymore. No - nay - never, no never, no more....

Shouldn't you be able to get a debit card? Most UK banks will give you a VISA debit card even with their most basic accounts at no cost. The Nordic countries do charge for the debit cards, but some banks have very reasonable fees for it. You could look into what the situation is in Switzerland since a debit card works with the funds in your account and you won't mess with a credit rating that way.

Yep, I am just working on establishing again a prepaidcreditcard offered from my bank. But the starting fee is CHF 300.00 and this is rahter steep. Well, at least there are then the annual fees reduced for about 50 %, i.e. only CHF 25.00 instead of the generally asked CHF 50.00 - but I'll have first to get these CHF 300.00. Living on existential minimum makes it especially difficult to have such an amount in spare.

Me too, also entrance costs for cinemas and other everydaylive-things (razorblades for example).

I do understand different prices because of different average income. But from what you've said, I presumed, that 50CHF is a lot of money, and it's just for having a debit card. Debit cards costs pocket money relatively in Poland. You don't even feel that amount.

And in some countries you pay fees for every online transaction etc which is even crazier.

Generally fifty franks CHF 50.00 is not the world, to speak of - but in my situation, I nearly live with CHF 50.00 for a whole weak, and sometimes I have to rest with that really, and then it gets rather hard to pay such an amount for only maintaining the card. Inspite of this, I wouldn't have too much problems with transaction fees, because I do not hundred transactions each month.

Personally I hope, that I come out of this mad system this year, it depends on the question, if I am actually really recovering from my healthproblems now or if the actual state is just a reaction to the cold weather. I will see in spring and summer. But if the medicinal therapy really works now, I hope to find a normal job again this year. And if this is possible, I'll recover also from my actual financial problems. Hope dies last!

In Germany, Paysafecard has been modified unusable, due to fulfill a silly law against money laundering. (In my opinion, the German adminstration just wants to control every money transfer, but that's another discussion).

At first you are not allowed to change more than 100 Euro at once into PSC. That's ok, I would only use it for smaller payments. The second change make it unusable: you are only allowed to use ONE PSC code for any transaction and cannot combine at least two codes. That leads to the situation, that e.g. if you have a card with an amount of 3.71€, you can't pay anything that costs more. The 3.71€ are lost, until you find a cheap item. That is almost never the case, so after some weeks you have several PSC codes with amounts of 0.78, 3.71, 2.30, 4.88 etc.

If they would at least allow to use two card codes, with one card no more than 10€ (e.g.), that would be ok and would also fulfill the law, but they don't want. So I don't want to use this system anymore.

I always think it's odd when those sorts of things cost money. Even in the US a Visa or Mastercard branded debit card is typically free. And the US is one of the worst offenders in terms of bankers screwing people over. I guess, that might be why so many folks have accounts with non-profits.
