I am Catholic, and I know for a fact that some indie developers are Atheist. I don't boycott their games for the fact, because that'd be childish.

Eh. I don't let that influence my purchasing decisions. Hell, if I didn't buy some product because I disagreed with something one of the creators believed, I wouldn't buy anything.

Just doesn't make any sense. That is entirely his own political view, and it does not affect the quality of the game in any way - or my buying decisions for that matter.
Now if he advocates buying kittens and burning them, that's a different matter altogether. But seriously, disliking him just because he has differing ideals is being immature and narrow minded.

Well, I bit for the game and have been having a blast. It is not a long or hard game, but it is fun. Everyone should at least give it a go if you might like casual 3rd person shooters.

Honestly, I don't see how he's hateful. Sadly misinformed and brainwashed, yes. Hateful? No. On a scale of one to homophobe, I'd say he's considerably better than the majority of the population as it is now. His views on gay marriage don't really matter - if you look at the trends (as I'm sure you have), you'll see that support for gay marriage (and acceptance of homosexuality on the whole) is strongly tied to generation; that is, support goes up considerably each generation. It's only a matter of time before prop 8 is overturned and, I'd imagine, other states as well (except Texas and other stupidly backward states).
I understand why, but I think you're overreacting. It's fine if you don't buy the game, but I think we all need to realize that there are some battles that we don't need to fight right now, and trying to convince some guy that we're okay by boycotting his game isn't one I need to fight.
