Landeril: Is this game out yet? Or if not, I'd like a beta key from a member or something.

nagytow: Hehe it's not that easy. I've been waiting for ages to get a key and still nothing...
But it looks so cool!
This reminds me, the HARDCORE ladder is up now. If you die in HARDCORE you get reset to normal ladder.
Well I somehow managed to get a beta key. If anyone wants to team up some time let me know.

The only way to get a key is through that random lottery thing right?
Been in the beta for a while now cant play it though, game wont bloody download. keeps failing to download shadercache. so annoying.

Or various giveaways. Either way you need to be extremely lucky.

They randomly give out friend invites to beta members as well. I managed to get a PM by some random dude asking for my friend invite before I even managed to read my beta invite PM. Unfortunatly my next 3 potential beta key invites are already spoken for by family and friends. If I get insane luck and get more then 3 of these random friend requests though I'll start handing them out to the gog community.

Thank you for the offer. I'm starting the queue! :)
GOOD NEWS EVERYONE! (imagine Professor Farnsworth's voice there)

PoE has gotten a major overhaul, new skill trees, way better graphics and textures, melee classes have been massively improved to be comparable with casters, and much, much more:)

And best of all... a bunch of friend invite codes handed out to beta members (I believe all beta members). So, should I not be prevented by the TOS, I expect we'll be having a contest sometime soon, muahahahaha!

There's still more goodness to come from the game, the final class has still not been revealed:)

If you still don't know what PoE is, read this link first (yes, the classes are awesome and itemization is fun too): http://www.pathofexile.com/classes/
If you want to read the nitty gritty on their patch notes:
http://www.pathofexile.com/news/2011-11-14/dev-diary-carl

It shows how much they care, especially about player feedback (many of these changes actually resulted from player feedback).
I at least expected some celebratory post from nagytow:)

Or maybe he got a key already and is too busy playing;)
Eh. Having a games backlog makes me a patient man, but I'll play this when it comes out. Good to see it's coming along nicely.

I wish I had a key :)
My Internet connection decided to play some tricks on me and did not work too well. I missed a lot of giveaways on the official forum.
I have a friend key to give away.

I'm going away from the PC now, so the next time I log on I'll PM it to the first person to reply.
I just thought I'd resurrect this. There's now skills you can pick up that completely change the gameplay for a character.

Examples (paraphrased):
You can never miss and you can never crit
You no longer have mana, all mana costs are drawn from your hit points
You cannot be stunned and you cannot dodge

There's a few others where you make no trade off:
You suffer no movement penalty from armor

Some of these skills could make for an terribly interesting character. Skill trees are wildly big in this game, so you have to work your way down the paths that lead to these skills if you want them.
