I've signed up for it weeks ago but that damn timer never picks me. I'd love to play it. I've put thousands of hours into diablo 2 and this looks like they know what they are doing when it comes to action rpgs.

Yeah still waiting for my invite as well. Been itching to play this, tired of waiting for DIII and Torchlight II...

EDIT: I'm tired of calling games like this a "Diablo clone" because it often implies that it's not good (or at least not better than Diablo), I'd like to propose the term "Diablo evolution" for games like this and Titan Quest.

Path of Exile is a Diablo Evolution.

I'll stop using the term "Diablo Clone" when I stop using the term "Shmup," that is, NEVER! muahahahaha!

P.S. I actually agree with you, many games have surpassed Diablo in terms of gameplay in my opinion although none have quite matched it in terms of "addictiveness" for me.

This game is definitely a Diablo clone. Might be a bit different, improved but it's still a clone. All moba games are clones of DotA, no matter how much you change them.

Anyway, from the movies it looks great so if you've got a spare 'friend' key, I'd like to have it :)

I signed up about a week ago.

What I like about it, is from what they've said, it's F2P but in a good way. In that there's no way to pay to get better gear or boost your stats. It's all for buying new clothes or fancy name tags, or things that have no impact on the actual game play.

Not that I'd ever PvP anyway, but I can dig that F2P model.

I would have signed up anyway when I saw that skill tree. I lub me some skills.

I've played quite a bit of it from the key I got at PAX. These guys were right next to the GoG booth and it seemed hardly anyone noticed them. Anyways, it's an excellent game, and I got to talk to the devs for a bit about it.

This game is insane, I think I'm not spilling the beans by saying most skill tress affect stats and skills but don't give you them directly, if you want that you socket skill gems in your gear. I like their mixed classes, they have a class for each major stat and a mix class in between (so my first guy is a mix of Dex and Str).

I can see they have some story there and more planned, it should be as good as D2 easily, though I don't know if they'll include cut scenes (I separate them since the cutscenes in D2 were good, but the story was kind of ass).

They had a small booth, so yeah, lots of people walked right by. Their gaming computers were full most of the time though.

EDIT: I should say this is a real beta, as in, stuff is not done and it crashes quite a bit. This is not a criticism of the game btw, any real beta would probably have stability issues, just noting this might not be the experience that some were hoping for.
