Thanks to shane-o being amazing, I have not only tried it, I've played it entire last weekend, getting to lvl 34 or so. It's the first 'traditional' ARPG since Diablo 2 that managed to grab me so much. I can't even begin to describe how many things it got just right.

Haven't downloaded it yet, I ended up working overtime last night and I can't be downloading stuff like that while I'm VPN'd to the office. I'll get it this weekend.

Man, I've been loving this game every time they've hosted a public weekend. It finally nails that itch that Diablo revealed, that Diablo II satisfied for so long,, and that Torchlight could only ever almost reach (And Greed: Black Borders only irritated). Each time I've played a weekend, it's consumed me for two days, obliterating the need for eating and sleeping and thinking. Whee!!

Has there been any new information on when the Open Beta starts up? If memory servers, they originally had it scheduled for around now, but were forced to push it back a number of months. I think it got put in some sort of "when it's done" limbo?

Of course, if anyone here had an extra beta key they were willing to unload, I wouldn't turn my nose up at them. That would be rude! So rude.

So I couldn't help myself and upgraded to Gold... anyone wanna give me US$750 so I can upgrade to Diamond >_>

I don't really like the Gold forum title though. Looks too much like Bronze. Shame you can't play the game offline. Would make the game disc more than just a coffee cup coaster.

One day there might be a crack or something for an offline server. I remember playing a cracked offline server version of WoW to see what all the fuss was about years ago

That's why I put down $100 (would pledge $250 if I could). The devs are really committed to making the best game possible. We need more people like that in the industry.

Waay better than any Torchlight and in my opinion it's even better than any diablo.
And it's free which is absolutely amazing.
I have played this game for approximately 1 year and i saw its evolution, pure gold
Also the devs are among the nicest in the game industry.
For me it is cristal clear: this is the (only) aRPG i'll be playing for years.
