Cosmetic items, from what I understand. The only P2W items are stash tabs, but even so those are only P2W in the loosest sense i.e., there are alternatives, albeit more troublesome ones, to storing items besides buying more stash tabs. Otherwise, some of the things that you can purchase with in-game credits, as confirmed by the devs, include clothes dyes, extra gore, pets and sex changes.

From my experience, most people don't have pets. For every 20 people I see in-game, maybe 2 have a bronze or normal kiwi, and 1 has a silver kiwi. Gold and Diamond ones are rare. Kiwis are also not available after the pre-order period, so that's an extra incentive to get it now if you want to be outstanding when the game hits OB.

PoE's maps are very linear and straightforward. You will never get lost, though some are so expansive that it will take you a while to find the exit. Otherwise the maps are very linearly connected. My topography skills are shit, and I never found myself getting lost in-game or wandering about aimlessly :P

There are only 2 problems with the game right now: 1) rubber banding mobs is quite a prevalent issue on my end, but the devs are already on it I believe; and 2) the initial part of the game is quite slow, but they are also working on improving this. It gets really fast once you hit level 20-30, because you will be hoarding Cast Speed other active skill gems to improve your DPS. My Spark skill went from 1 attack per 0.7+second to 1 attack per 0.43 second lol.

Thanks for all the useful info. One last question before I take the plunge; roughly how big is the client? I know it sounds silly, but I was once going to try D3 until I realized the client was over 15gb, which is a massive hassle to download from here.
Only 4.72gb lol. Even with my shitty ass connection, I could download the game in a few hours.

Awesome, just got it. Somehow hadn't noticed that it comes with 3 keys, possibly my stupidest question yet, but I take it I only need one?
Yep. Did you purchase the $25 pack?

No, it was like, $115 including shipping for the physical items.

Yup, just hoping they manage to deliver it. Getting stuff delivered here seems to be a bit hit and miss. Also given the frequency of updates, I'm not sure how useful the installation disk will be, I think it's probably more for ornamental purposes.
Soundtrack downloads come out tomorrow, yay.

You should record your dreams and make a separate "horror stories" thread for them.

Funny you should mention this. I left the soundtrack running on my phone while sleeping, but kept waking up in intervals every time my phone played the Brutus theme song.

Btw have you tried the game yet?
