I just wandering how many of us (pastafarians) are at GOG forums?

I am one. I know there are at least one more.
But I guess we should be more than just two.

For the ones that have no clue what I'm talking about here are a link:

This has been token from the very same page:

Pastafarianism is a real religion.

Most of us do not believe a religion – Christianity, Islam, Pastafarianiasm – requires literal belief in order to provide spiritual enlightenment. That is, we can be part of a community without becoming indoctrinated. There are many levels of belief.

By design, the only dogma allowed in the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is the rejection of dogma. That is, there are no strict rules and regulations, there are no rote rituals and prayers and other nonsense. Every member has a say in what this church is and what it becomes.

To outsiders it makes us hard to define, but here are some general things that can be said about our beliefs:

* We believe pirates, the original Pastafarians, were peaceful explorers and it was due to Christian misinformation that they have an image of outcast criminals today
* We are fond of beer
* Every Friday is a Religious Holiday
* We do not take ourselves too seriously
* We embrace contradictions (though in that we are hardly unique)

I wasn't aware anyone even used this as a basis for anything other than mockery, let alone as a basis for a philosophy. I think the church of the sub-genius has you guys beat out by at least a decade on the mocking and useless philosophy, though.

Hey, you said you didn't take it too seriously, right?:)
If I say yes, will you give me a plate of spaghetti?

IMO the best approach to religion is not taking it too seriously :D

It is a mockery, nothing more

It's just how "Jedi" was turned into an actual religion but everyone who claims they are one are simply taking the piss

If so, good. Was getting a bit worried the whole thing had backfired.
if you ask me if I worship a flying plate of space spaghetti as a god, I would have to say no.

I worship a flying plate of space spaghetti as the example that the most powerful force in the world is the human imagination, not "god" (who was likewise created by it).

I let you know, Pastafarianism has been used as a good basis to point nonsense and to the authorities that should remain secular. This is a sample:

And we are totally cool with sub-genius church guys, there are no competition with them. As a mater of fact, I could be member of both if want to.

Yeah I knew about the colander head photo story. I know you're probably cool with the Subgenius guys, I just gotta say, they're talking behind your back, man, they think they're better because their religion is more established and more ancient:)
I love pasta. :)
Pastafarianism is a johnny come lately, Discordianism and sub-genius all the way!
Have you been touched by his noodly appendage?
"With millions, if not thousands, of devout worshippers (...)"

Ok, I laughed at that.
