Ok, I haven't had an Android phone for very long and I have never bought an app before (just dabbled with the free ones). However, there are now a couple apps I would like to buy including the absolutely amazing SwiftKey 3.

Anyway, it turns out, to buy apps, I need to set up Google Wallet with my credit card details as it doesn't accept PayPal which is annoying. Therefore, has anyone here used that method to buy android apps? Have you had any problems with it? Any of those "overseas transaction charges"? Any info you could give me would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have no experience with Google Wallet, by I can buy apps & add the cost to my phone bill.
Wonderfully convenient and VERY dangerous!
No problems what so ever. Have even used it to purchase Google devices.

Thank you very much, I feel alot better about now. :)
Used it a couple of times and no issues. I once had to buy an app twice, but I asked for a refund and got one. You can cancel any purchase for after a couple of hours even if it was installed.
I've used it once and it seemed to work fine. You shouldn't be any more paranoid of the wallet than you should be of any of Google's other services.

Which is to say, you SHOULD be paranoid, but just how paranoid is up to personal preference and/or anxiety level.
