Npl: But Id be happy already if Valve would offer their games at Retail, as they either dont do this now or you have to use steam anyway. No useful alternative to a "digital sale" - which makes such statistics pointless.
They do offer their games at retail. Having to use steam anyway after the retail purchase does not qualify as a DD.
I've been buying and loving paradox games for a long time, and about 90% of them I got in their retail box....so I guess I'm some sort of freak. ;)
Does Paradox have any rpg's with turn-based combat (but not full-blown turn-based strategy with resource management & all that stuff)? I'm talking something similar to the combat in Fallout 1 & 2, Arcanum, Might & Magic 1-5, etc.

Elven Legacy is the closest. It plays a lot like Final Fantasy Tactics and Suikoden.

Catshade: Paradox is mainly a publisher of niche, hardcore strategy games, so their numbers can be a wee bit skewed to the digital side.
They (still) might be niche, but the convention they had this year signifies anything but. As a publisher and developer, their growth is commendable and the range of titles they are releasing this year shames any other pub.

Add to that the 300,000+ (I think) selling Magicka, Paradox is quickly shedding it's niche label.
Never purchased a Paradox title, never seen a trailer, never read a news about them. So their numbers are junk.

Srsly?
I actually like them as a publisher sure they may not be big but at least they are not afraid to relase games that are not dumbed down mass market games but ones that gamers can enjoj and are more complex but thats what a number of gamers like instead of call of duty 100.

I love their mount & blade games.

I never knew who you are. I don't even know whether you're actually exist or just another Gamerager's alt. So your opinion is invalid.
Warband is the best game I've played in a while. I like that it takes a modicum of skill to play their games rather then just press the infamous "I win" button that many games have.

I would have gotten Magicka also cause it looks cool but everyone said that you need to play in multiplayer to enjoy the game, and don't enjoy multiplayer so much.

Yeah, Mount and Blade Warband is one of the funner games I have played in a long time. Love the online multiplayer.
My favorite Paradox games are Mount and Blade: Warband (maybe my favorite game in the last 5 or more years), Knights of Honor (I got so into this game I was still able to play it with the worst toothache you can imagine), Crusader Kings (Knights of Honor was my gateway drug to loving this game), Europa Universalis 3 (Any game that lets Leinster dominate the world is cool in my book), and Sword of the Stars (pew pew). I could go on...but I just felt I had to give Paradox some props, espcially since
KingofGnG has never heard of them....of course he may be a big FPS/Platformer guy and that could explain his lack of interest to a bit more complex games. ;P Just kidding man...But really you should check out some of their titles, you may get hooked. :)

Your opinion is junk for similar reasons :P

Is it possible that we are ALL gamerager's alts, having conversations with each other? Trippy.
I bought Mount&Blade back when it was a little indie turkish game :P

Paradox are definitely a niche publisher in my mind, as most people I've told about thier games seem pretty disinterested in them. However they've gained quite a hardcore following, and some of those games are like crack. Crusdaer King in particular just hits a sweet spot for me.
