Getcomposted: So why are "murder simulators" celebrated, but nudity is obscene?! O_o
Because (US) God says so. Evil, evil thing.

For the record Wishbone is not a troll. I'm not saying I agree or disagree with him but we have enough actual trolls running around here and we really don't to be spitting the term out to anyone who rubs us the wrong way, so please be civil. :D
This is old news. I laughed my a** off about it. Apple labeling the original Papers, Please for "pornography". LMAO. Have they not heard of the internets. Have they not seen TV or go to the movies. Or even played other games.

Cmon Papers Please have graphics of my old C64 games which are decades old!!, Unfreakin believable.

MarioFanaticXV: If it was a surgery simulating game, (and no, I don't mean that abominable spoof that's on Steam, I mean a proper surgery simulation game, though I know of no real examples of such), then there would be a valid reason to have nudity in a game. As it stands, there's no real logical reason for it to be in Papers, Please!.
So a medical examination or surgery is the only valid reason for nudity in your eyes?

And yes there is a logical reason for the nudity in Papers, Please. As wishbone already stated, it's an example for the extreme intervention in privacy by a totalitarian regime. And it's not meant to arouse you. In the context of the game the nudity completely makes sense.

Did you even play the game? And if so, are you sure that you understood it?

That reminds me of something that actually happened in this country about 15 years ago. One of the major networks decided to broadcast "Schindler's List" uncut and without commercials, and they were actually picketed by people furious because of the nudity in it being shown on network television.

My favourite example will always be the ban on Kirikou and the Sorceress
I think some people set the word "nudity" equal to "pornography" which isn't the same in my opinion. When I go to the sauna two times a week, I don't walk around there with a boner. Yes the people are naked but there are no sexual intentions at all only because the people are naked. So it would be childish in my opinion to be upset of drawn naked people. There are the way more reasons why the game shouldn't be played by children like the ethical conflicts. Grownups should get along with this. If not noone is forced to buy or play it.

Hey we can't have that kind level headed reasoning in here! It's blasphemous!
