MarioFanaticXV: Why was there nudity in the game to begin with? And was is it ridiculous that publishers don't want pornographic content in their games? Apple has done a lot of stupid things, but this doesn't seem to be one of them.
Nudity is not the same as pornographic content, far from it. Trust me, there is absolutely nothing pornographic about the nudity in Papers Please.
I can only laugh at this.

I can only weep at this... Some people (especially in the US) still live in the 19th century...

Laugh, so as not to cry.

Have you played the game? Anf if you did, do you really consider the nude body scanner scenes as pornographic content???
I'm not even surprised... a lot of thing have been said so I won't repeat them but you know what still amazes me? It's the way how they define nudity. A girl in a very provocative and erotic pose with (almost) fully exposed breasts but with her nipples barely covered is OK but anything showing a part of a nipple, even clearly non-erotic pictures of woman breastfeeding... oh my! Burn this abomination in a deepest circle of hell! WTF?! Do they have some kind of nipplephobia or what? And the same with pubic hair. I remember reading an article about a woman that got her social media account closed... in this article they made a comparison: several very provocative pictures centered on girls' crotches with tiny little panties barely covering anything (or other provocative poses) and it was fine. A girl posted an asexual photo of her with small part of pubic hairs shown above her briefs and oh my! Let's ban her immediately!

So it's not only about nudity vs violence (a lot has been said here already) but the very definition what is offensive and what's not is one of the most hypocritical things ever.
I think it's understandable that Apple, with their stricter app policy, would have a problem with unmoderated nude content. The author seems OK with it and stated it was a misunderstanding on their part (when you're deailng with so many submissions, it's to be expected that stuff will get rejected in somewhat basic terms).

Obviously in context the nudity is justified but some people just don't like that sort of thing in games so offering the option to cover up is a fair compromise IMO.
They really have nothing to grab onto if they consider this pornography. They made the right choice in reversing it.

You realize that nations need a military to survive, right?

Even your cells need a "military" to keep out bacteria, viruses, fungi, etc. Grab a biology book and look up "white blood cells".

-------------

With that being said, I'm probably going to be unpopular for saying this, but IMO Apple was right to censor it. Nudity has NO VALID PLACE in any game.

I'm a cancer survivor. I know all I need to know about white blood cells.

on the other hand - what a military protects us against is the military from other countries. So.....

If you read a little bit of the thread you will notice that many members have pointed out that pornography is not the same as nudity. And if we, as a human race, were just a little more civilised we would not need military either.

Why? Because you don't like it? (As to why that is the case is an interesting question too...).

So you're asserting that this was meant for anatomic, biological, or medical purposes? No such goal is in the design of the game. Have you even looked at it? It's a customs officer simulator.

Why does Apple anyway censor nudity? Is this illegal in the US?
