This thread is to promote Painkiller Black edition which is currently on Sale right now on GoG

Seriously, i advise everyone who is even remotely interested in FPS to buy this game, it's just so damn action packed and so FUN

Here is the music Video, performed by Mech which kicks ass

I have bought Painkiller, Painkiller Black, and GoG's Painkiller (not today a few months ago) each time with the best of intentions of playing this game. It looks fantastic.

I don't know what it's going to take to actually make it happen this time... but it should.

My Boxed version still works fine and since no 50% off unless you buy them all I will pass on this weeks sales. However - nice video

Hehe, cool video. Painkiller is awesome. I don't really like shooters, but Painkiller was just a lot of fun and has amazing level design. Be warned that the difficulty jumps up in the expansion though. You might want to set the difficulty one level lower for that one.

I hate coming off as a ZP fanboi, but after being burnt out on "traditional" FPS, Painkiller was like a breath of fresh air; just no-filler/all-killer gameplay. For me, I can't think of a better stress reliever.

The problem with almost all FPS games that come out right now is that all of them try to be HUURRR REALISTIK AND DURRRR SUPER SERIOUS

I am so sick of these games

There's another, funny, old FPS that was a kick in the pants: Kiss: Psycho Circus. Yeah, not realistic at all, but pretty amusing.

I thought that PCF was bought out by Epic Games to do the PC port of Gears of War. Anyway, it's good to know they're still working on new material.

Some other fun FPS I can think of was SiN and Shadow Warrior (for which I'm still waiting for a Mac OS X/Linux port). I'd even toss in some more obscure titles like FutureCop: LAPD and Heavy Metal: FAKK2 in there, even though they were ostensibly third person shooters.

Heavy Metal: FAKK2 was mostly mediocre. Having a porn star for the lead improved interest as well as the God Games' E3 antics (midgets and all kinds of crazy stuff - and the gal's name is Julie Strain if you were wondering).

SiN was awesome. And, I think this generation deserves to experience the bathtub scene.

yeah, SIN was definitely an interesting game, I'll give it that :)
