I think this is merely improper handling of a sensitive issue.

If I said "Hey guys, I think Heroes 1 costs a little bit too much. IMO - they should've left it at $5.99 :|", I'd likely get responses to the effect of "Yeah, I guess you're right but you know how Ubisoft is..." and the conversation would pretty much be over, since there's not really much direction for it.

So, as it just dawned on me - the backlash is probably not because people disagree with the prices being "too" high on some titles but merely because they find mentioning / discussing this matter inappropriate.

Hey Roman5 we should be thankfull the most of the games here are $9.99 it could be more expensive then that
The backlash is because this is only the umpteenth million time Roman5's done something like this. He keeps flying off the handle, including doing things like going over to Amanita's forums and swearing at them over the Botanicula Debut bundle, and posting long rants long after everyone is sick of the topic.

At this point it's a combination of the silly things he's saying and the freaked-out way he's presenting himself.
I feel as though I'm one of the few people that doesn't mind Roman5.

spinefarm: You are definetly an attention wh**e. The games have same or higher prices on other Digital Distributors. So far GOG didn't release a classic game over the 9.99$ price tag so enough with this already.

wodmarach: With such great comments as
Roman5 says: What's this game doing on GOG in the first place?

or a guy spending 10 dollars to have Roman kick them in the junk.....Classic
Roman... have you ever considered enjoying games rather than sniffing around for things to complain about?
avatar
gameon: What are peoples thoughts then. Are those games overpriced?
All things considered it's hard to disagree with most of the entries. It's just the act of posting a thread about it that's typical and annoying.

To him that is a game.

Not to mention that "I am a God!" thread he put up a week or so back.

Does that mean if we don't believe he exists he'll cease to do so... and no longer be able to post?

I don't see how linking me to that works to your advantage. That thread started out self obsessed and resulted in a train wreck.
People still do GOGmixes? O.O
Mushy101:"please stop pouring acid into these forums"
Sometimes I like you, sometimes I don't, though I don't post about it 'cause I usually get caught by another task. But that's not the point. You've punched us users in the face and we fought back. (btw, I also did some research when I came across this before this post)

Oh yeah, overpriced my a$*.

If you go deeper into the site, people still do.

Hey - I know this movie ! The loop continued until Phil finally stopped being an arrogant, self-centered piece of shit and started caring about and helping the community. Of course - it allegedly took him centuries to reach that point...
