The best game ever released in the action adventure genre!
When will it be released as digital-download?
I don't know who owns the rights right now, but this game is epic!
I have a mac and I own both the cd and dvd release but because of the "fantastic" copyprotection the both versions do not run with CIDER/WINE or Crossover and no nocd seems to be working. that's a pity. so i expect that it will be released as wine-friendly nocd digital download from you!
i am waiting to order ;-)

It's the tenth most voted for game in the wish list. So I think that GOG are well aware of it.

Then you have already done all you can to get the game here on GOG, there's no need to post in the forums about it.
The GOG guys will not comment on what they are trying to get, only what they actually do have. Just watch the main page for news announcements, that's where you'll get any info on when this game might come to GOG.
Trouble is, it's in the hands of Atari, and there's a very low chance we'll be seeing their games here anytime soon (I'd say none at all, but I can't be that sure).
though atari needs money! at the moment they don't earn anything, because outcast can only be bought at ebay etc. i think a lot of people would like to play it!

Yeah, but you see what you're doing wrong there, don't you? You're taking logic and applying it to the games industry.

Atari just lost the European side of their company to Namco Bandai. So they can't be doing so well that they'd overlook a lucrative deal.

I knew I shouldn't have put those words in the same sentence.

You forget that Atari love nothing more than screwing potential customers. What other company would pay the money they did for The Matrix licence then make some of the worst, buggiest, poorly supported games possible?
Also I hate calling them Atari. In my eyes they will always be Infogrammes and they always sucked.

What other company? You seem to be forgetting every other movie-licensed game outside of Star Wars, James Bond and Chronicles of Riddick. What other company? Pretty much every other company.

They are just hiding behind a classic brand name. I've never liked them for their lack of supplied manuals or the fact that their customer service is completely non-existent. But I have liked the various properties they've got their mitts on over the years all the same.

I'm not forgetting them. The Matrix games were all universally bad. Infogrammes bought a licence for stupid amounts of money then expected to make stupid amounts of money by making extremely shit games. It's a shame Shiny had to suffer for it.
There are licened games that are good. For example Rogue Trooper, Ultimate Spider-Man, Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

I rememeber the Amiga 500 well. I remember going to a trade show and buying a 1MB ram expansion for £100.
Still doesn't change the fact Infogrammes suck. They changed in the mid 90's to a company totally focussed on profits at the expense of the user.
