klaymen: Well I'd like to try proper D&D, GURPS and I want to start playing DrD again, but there is noone to play with :( so my rulebooks just gather dust.

I have the same problem with my warhammer stuff
I don't know anywhere in my area that sells Dungeons and Dragons. I really want to get the 3.5 version, so somebody send me one for a reasonable price.
I think they've cancelled 3.5 now and are onto 4 but from what I've read, 4 isn't too popular. Apparently its caught the consolitis issue and isn't as detailed as it used to be.
I'd suggest ebay for finding 3.5, that or amazon, people might be selling their 3.5s to buy 4s
thats why i love shadowrun, tons of guns, tons of spells, tons of cyberware, tons of bioware, tons of dices, tons of papers and tons of statistics :) but noone to play with :(
I've only read shadowrun novels, never played the game. Looks like such fun.
it is if you don't have problem with mixing of hi-tech and magic (which is main problem with SR) but it will offer you gread diversity of your character, friend of mine had "the preacher", guy who was expelled from theology studies so in the end he was spreading god's words with bible in one hand, ares manhunter MkII in other and lots of stupid comments.
I used to do alot of tabletop gamming, mostly gamesworkshop as they are the big tabletop thing in the UK. It was gamesworkshops smaller spinoff games that I enjoyed the most though, mordhiem and inquisitor with a group of friends was great. Anyone here heard of or played Inquisitor?

I've heard of it but it came out at the same time I realised I was wasting money building armies that never got used. Peace SUCKS!
What do you think the problems would be on running a pen & paper RPG online? I've often thought of it but it'd probably require live realtime chat wouldn't it? That and some way of ensuring that the guy who just threw a dozen 20s in a row wasn't cheating
I spose with a decent webcam and a microphone you could play it and still beable to see the dice rolls if done infront of the webcam.
I've played a GURPS game over IRC chat, dicebots are available so that everyone can see the diceroll.
It ran fine, except for the fact that text chatting leads to everybody speaking out of turn and creating confusion. Either need a really dedicated GM, or patient players.

Has anyone played Space Munchkins? It is the most nerdy card game ever and is very fun.

A ways back, before there were a lot of web forums for every conceivable thing under the sun, I used to do play-by-email RPGs with my friends, using an online mailing list service... luckily, we were playing TFOS, which doesn't need too much in the way of dice.
I've done some in-person pen-and-paper stuff as well, mainly Rifts and Palladium. Probably the most unusual one was when me and a couple of friends played through a Heroes Unlimited campaign while literally hiking along a ten-mile trail through the woods - it did make the hike seem to go really fast, though :)
Also, I think I still have some pogs lurking around somewhere...
