After seeing a different thread, it made me think of other forms of game playing.
For me, one of the things I found myself involved in for about the last 4 years is board gaming.
In actuality, computer gaming drove me in that direction. I did not like the way games came out unfinished and never receiving the needed patches along with the whole DRM thing that started with Starforce. These issues caused me to look for another outlet for my gaming time.
I have had a blast collecting and playing some very cool board games that maybe many have not heard about.
This is one of the best sites for board gaming; if not the best. It is huge and has tons of users and involvement.
Board Game Geek
If you like RPGs you should consider checking out the game Descent: Journeys in the Dark. It has 4 expansions now and is very cool game of setting up dungeons and playing either as a hero (people play together as a group of heroes), or the Overlord that tries to stop the heroes.
There are games for Starcraft, Halo, World of Warcraft, Age of Empires III (other computer base board games), and tons of other great games that have no connection to computer games.
To name a few, Galaxy Trucker, Nexus Ops, Twilight Imperium III, War of the Ring, etc. there are literally 1,000s of games listed on the BGG link above.
I personally have what would be considered a small collection of about 125+ board/card games.
Here is one board game publisher that makes great games.
Fantasy Flight Games
The one cool thing about board games is even after you play them there is no DRM and you can always resell them; normally at more than you paid for them.
So are there any other forms of gaming that gog players are involved in regularly?
