That sucks. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this will make 8 games removed so far this year. Hopefully OW (and the others) will come back again in a few months like it did in 2009.

Luckily I bought myself a copy last year based on a recommendation from El_Caz. (See the top review on the game's page.)

Indeed, it will be 8. This time around, though, they won't be back anytime soon (ARMA replaced its Gamespy-based multiplayer to Steamworks-based multiplayer).
Maybe O War is going to be a summer sale giveaway.
Didn't know it was here.
buying this alongside the first ARMA today before it vanishes

think I'll pick up something else from the summer sale as well

very sad to see games go from the catalogue
Yet another bump.

Trilarion: I would say that with the planned Galaxy client and Linux support GOG is roughly on par feature wise with Steam. Except for DRM no real difference anymore. But this will only be true around 2015, when Steam had this from around 2007? Big head start for Valve. And developers are just to eager to be only on Steam. Takes this together and you have your monopoly.
I disagree, just because GoG is getting an optional client doesn't mean it matches the same features that Steam has. You're forgetting Workshop, Greenlight, Marketplace, Achievements, etc., plus the multitude of tools that Steam provides to devs/publishers. You may not value any of these things but as far as the digital market is concerned, many do. Devs also put a certain value on Steamworks as well.

Has GOG said what specific time Original War and the ARMA games will be pulled? It could be the start of June 22 in GMT or at the end of that day, or any time in between.

Humanity: just give them some fireworks, and the crowd will watch the show, with their mouths open wide, while the burglars will seize the moment to cut their purses while they're distracted.

Doubt it.

I don't think they have specified a time.
The Fallout games were removed at 3:59PM GMT on December 31, but that doesn't mean it will be the same time for this.
Edit - Both Guilty Gear games were removed at 4PM GMT as well. Looks like that might be a standard game removal time.
Still, I'd try to pick it up by 11:59 PM CEST on the 21st just to be safe.

Already picked up my copy of Original War (along with Arx Fatalis, COR: Assault on Dark Athena and Star Control 3) during the summer sale. If Original War come a freebie before the sale ends, I'm gonna be mad >:(

Maybe it might, but maybe not.

Anyone know what the next giveaways might be? Hopefully it's something I don't have this time ^^

GOG said they needed to remove Original Way on June 22; but I wouldn't necessarily expect that to mean they will remove Original War on exactly June 22 (certainly no later, but possibly earlier). GOG could need to pull it before that.

TurnipSlayer was really clear no sales were anticipated. At this point it'd seem unfair for OW to go as last minute freebie (and there'd be little benefit to Bohemian Software in doing a freebie on a service they are exiting). I would consider it at least impolite, if not rude, for GOG to announce a games departure then deeply discount it in the 11th hour. Fallout being the exception because it was changing rights owners.
