Agreed, that sounds pretty much like a bug. If it isn't, that would be a pretty great incentive to buy the game here and now, even for cheapskates. ;)

I'm from Belgium and just bought the main game.

I got 2 gift codes: 1 9.99$ and 1 5.99$.

I did not buy the DLC yet but if I get the equivalent in gift codes as I read here for Denmark and Sweden I will certainly do it.

So can someone confirm if Belgium receives the same gift codes (=16$ worth) for the DLC ?

That seems to be a recurring theme with the GOG site. Maybe I'm being too nitpicky, I don't know...

Is there some way of knowing what exactly the fair price package contains of in one's region, prior to buying? And can you confirm that it's not a bug that some get two gift codes for buying the $10 DLC?

Well, they're buying the game full priced, which puts GOG higher up on the profit margin, plus 16 to 3,6 is about 80% difference, and a pretty by-the-books discount in regards to the recent sales.

It's been a while since I've spent so much money on a single game, and at launch (sort of)!. Now, I have to figure out what to cut to make up the shortfall - coffee? Chocolate? Other games? Hmmm... *Ponders and calculates*

How exactly is it a rip-off? If you accept the gift code as "real money", you get the game $0.30 cheaper as the US buyers.

Them rich Euros and 'Mericans don't realise how we have to save every penny (cent) here in the UK.

If I bought this game at full price, I'd have to starve myself for a week, as well as turn off my fridge and water heater, and wash all me clothes in the stream. Which I'd have to walk to, since I'd would nae be able to afford to fill up me car with gas neither.

Ach, the life of a UK gamer is a hard one.

Currently, I'm on medication that has caused my appetite to disappear. So, making an effort means I eat one meal a day. Now the previous medication I was on caused me to stuff my face as if I was trying to win a prize at an all-you-can-eat buffet, so I've got a bit of weight to lose to be in a healthy bracket again.
Which means, saving the price of lunch so that it will go to the retrospective cost of Original Sin. Win-win.

I think you have misunderstood :)

The "Rip-off" in "Rip-off Britain" is an adjective not a verb ;) It's a joke amongst us Brits that everything is more expensive than it should be / we'd like it to be. Esp compared to the US! Anyway, we like to complain about prices. It's what we do.

Can someone confirm if Belgians get the same gifts for the DLC ? ;)
