wolfsrain: Which obviously sends the wrong message. I mean, seriously, you have comments like "i've torrented them", or " just torrent them!"....If that's their mentality, i doubt that Bethesda will see any money for the Classics from them, or even for any new product. And we also have the kids: "we got them free from GOG". And they send a wrong message....
If those "just torrent" posts have that effect on them, then they are incredibly shortsighted (I'm not precluding that being the case).

Why? Because you could post those exact same comments for nearly ANY game, including "today's" AAA monster-budget games on Steam.

Pirates take almost anything and make it "torrentable". It isn't a "look what happens to DRM-free GOG games" thing. It's a "look everything any releases anywhere at anytime will end up in a torrent - regardless of how much or little "DRM" is in the damn thing.

And they should know that.

There's always going to be those that "pirate" and "torrent" (illegally); and those that don't. DRM be damned.

Sent them another tweet. Know it won't change much, but at least they'll be reminded that some people miss having those games here.
Great, apparently the Bethesduh people don't want to be bothered by nagging goglodytes begging them on their hands and knees for a gog release, so they deactivated the comments on bethblog.

I hope people won't cease bothering them about a gog release until they eventually cave in.

I noticed some of the responses on their tweet have mysteriously disappeared.

I really hope that GoG developes from the DRM-free underdog to a still DRM-free alpha shop.
Wastelands 2, War for the overworld, Carmageddon Remake etc... directly coming to GoG will hopefully tip the balance a bit further.
I really hope, that the current awesome summer sales at GoG create plenty of new customer accounts.

Still works for me - http://www.bethblog.com/2014/06/18/fallout-classics-return-to-steam/#comments and 4 of the 7 comments are about GOG......
If you're talking about the german bethblog - they have comments disabled on default and that afaik since start - nothing to do with Fallout or GOG.

Yep, "comments deactivated" when I regularly get to the Bethblog with a German IP,
7 comments when everything is set to "English".

So, not only do they hate gog, they hate Germany as well...

Can I change the language settings somewhere on the bethblog?

Yeah, I'm not gonna bother with this. Fuck em!

@Siannah
Nice to hear about the 4/7 gog-related comments. Hopefully all the non-Germans who can post there will continue to give them hell!
I use hidemyass.com to access them - http://5.hidemyass.com/ip-1/encoded/Oi8vd3d3LmJldGhibG9nLmNvbS8%3D should bring you to the english version.
Out of curiosity: Are the updated versions still the censored Euro-version or are they now the uncut US-release?

Thanks! Gotta love Siannah's comment:

"I’m all covered with the DRM-free version which I bought years ago on GOG. Steam doesn’t care if it runs on your system nor will they even try getting it to run on future systems, GOG did.
Too bad you guys at Bethesda don’t seem to see that."

Saw this over at the Codex:
http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/index.php?threads/original-fallout-trilogy-receives-bethesda-update-on-steam.92394/

Beth actually put their shitty name at the bottom knowing they can never come out with something great like the old first 2 Fallouts. Feel like punching a wall.

mistermumbles: A message they'll never receive (or care for), seeing how well their Steam-only games sell. Just saying.

darthspudius: I don't see the point in not buying them. You're suppose to play games not sulk because they're not on your favourite platform/website.
You're supposed to wear clothes, not sulk because they are made in sweatshops.

Different people have different reasons for doing things. Some people's moral boundaries are different from others.
