They stopped the promo because people were abusing it since they didn't put proper limits or requirements on its usage.

Fucking idiots. I actually did their fucking survey and now my code is invalid? I believe I'm going to send them a rather... colorful e-mail.
I would imagine that anybody who honestly earned the code would be able to contact customer service with proof of some kind and get the discount enabled just for them. I imagine Origin turned the code off to stop the 9.2 bajillion people using the code that didn't earn it.

Yeah, I'm looking into that right now. I'll tell you one thing for free though: their website is brutal. I've had to log in 6 times now between going from one page to another trying to find the proper place/way to contact them about this. And they ask in the survey why we don't buy games through Origin? Because the whole experience with these guys is an absolute joke.

Thanks for not charging.

When I reactivated my acct, it took forever to load pages, and browsing their games took about 30 sec per page load. Still, wish I'd grabbed a game sooner.

Same here. I decided to 'be sensible' and wait until the website wasn't being slammed so hard with all the traffic. That'll teach me. I've read, after googling about why this code isn't working, that tons of people have redeemed the code for 4 and 5 games even though they never even completed the survey. I actually did the survey and the code's now invalid. I'm a little pissed off about it.

BTW, finally was able to navigate their labyrinthine support pages to send them an e-mail about this. We'll see what happens. I anticipate severe frustration.

"Yeah, what do YOU want? Oh, you'd like your code turned back on? Srsly?! What, you and your buddies aren't tired after raping us repeatedly yesterday, you didn't get enough and you want some more?!? Well, we're still recovering from the pounding you jerks gave our website. Some of us had to work overtime y'know and poor Simmons got fired for approving that stupid promo. I had a crush on him you bastard! So you want a promo? You want a promo??? Here! Here's a code for Pong! Enjoy!

Thank you for contacting Origin support."

Yeah. Read the comments at the end of This Article, for one.
The EA community manager posted this:

"The coupon code is now expired; we’ll honor all sales made with the coupon code over the weekend and hope fans enjoy their games. "

"I understand why some folks may be frustrated that the coupon code ended early, but the coupon is now expired."

Apparently some people got 10+ games for free from using the code and if they don't take back this statement it looks like they are going to just take a loss on this mistake.

Yeah, I'm posting over in that thread (under a different user name) and I'm not impressed. They're willing to tell us legitimate survey takers to basically piss off while letting the scam artists get a ton of free games. Brutal.
Well crap, I wish I had no moral scruples so I could get tons of free games too!

(This message is not meant for Coelocanth. I really do think they should give him his coupon for taking the survey.)
Their website is pretty horrible. I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to browse all games in a certain price range. I can do this if I individually select a genre, but even then it pops up stuff like the Batman Arkham games in RPG section. What?? Not to mention the whole site itself looks...weird, somehow. Like not weird like there's a bug or anything, but there's a certain placeholder-site feel to it. Can't really describe it sorry, but in either case I really don't like their layout. And, even if I did buy something from there, I believe I'd have to download another client. I'm sorry, but the Steam Client and GOG Downloader are the only clients and need and want, thank you very much. No need for one more on top of those. Good thing there doesn't seem to be anything super-interesting in the $20 price range, therefor I can continue not using Origin. I fail to see the point of it, always been like that.
