Aliasalpha: Well the dead giveaway that BIA wasn't really an FPS was the inability to shoot people behind cover when you had a clean shot. It was literally impossible to shoot someone on the other side of cover, even if their head was sticking up and you were in the ironsight view, you still had to suppress and flank to kill them
OFP is one of the hardest games you'll ever play, also one of the easiest. All depends on how you fight and if you get lucky. Then again I might have found it easy because it was my main game for several years, to the extent that I still have my CD key memorised and was good enough with the RPG to take out a BMP with a single shot from more than a kilometre away

Seign as you're an old memeber Alias, why did GoG have to get rid of OFP?
I'm only 34!
I don't remember ever hearing an official response but I suspect it was because of the girlish slapfight going on between Bohemia Interactive (Who made most of OFP) and Codemasters (Who published it, made some parts of it and, by the look of ARMA, was entirely responsible for what quality control OFP did get)
Shame really, I was thinking of getting it for the convenience, 1 exe instead of... I think 5 discs for OFP & both expansions

You can't compare two different genres, since OFP is a battlefield game, and BiA is a squad tactics game.
If it is the GotY edition, get OFP for sure. There's a lot of mods (but some mods won't work with just the vanilla game, you need the Resistance exp. included in the GotY ed.).
About the game being removed, I don't know for sure. Both OFP:CWC and the Resistance exp. were developed by Bohemia, and the Red Hammer exp. was developed by Codemasters. So, looks like Codem legally removed their part from here, and since it's a whole GotY pack (all published by Codem), GOG had to remove all of it.
