I always wondered, is there or will there be a mmo with complee mods support for people to make their own dungeons and quest?

Nirth: I assumed there was a trial but it seemed free so I just began downloading the client and made an account.

There webside had a beginner's guide so I'll make sure to read through that. :)

Licurg: I suggest you stick to it, it can be a little hard at first, especially if you're not gonna put any money in it, but it's worth it, trust me. The nice part is that you can actually earn money playing it. Every item in there is worth a certain amount in real-life cash, so when you decide to stop playing, you can cash in your account. How come you never heard about it? It's made in your country...
That's...swell but all those games where you can earn money isn't it like 0.01$ per hour at best unless are a pro or elite?

About the game, well I'm not sure but I guess I don't hang around people playing a lot of MMOs (everyone I know just plays WoW, CoD or a MOBA copy) and while I do enjoy trying them I need to catch their name, this one has never come up strangely enough.

It's not a flash game:) There are people there who earn tens of thousands of dollars a month. Basically, everything you find in the game is worth a certain amount of PED, and you can exchange PED at a rate of 10PED for 1$. You can also buy property and then rent it for hunting and mining, you can choose specializations that also bring you cash. Read the wikipedia page for more info, particularly this part:

Rohan15: I want to say that Ryzom and Wurm Online sound like the game you want, but I never personally played them....I really should.

TheTrveFenris: I've played Wurm for some time, it's a great "sandbox" game, constantly evolving. You can build houses, boats, go hunting, chop wood or mine rocks to make tons of items. Also I've heard of Xsyom (a game with similar mechanics), but never played it. Go and check 'em!

EDIT: Ryzom seems to be really interesting... I'll try it soon.
The game actually has its own ecosystem as well. Animals migrate and everything.
Do you require a large population like you might have found in old SWG, or are you okay with a smaller, closer knit, loyal, end game heavy, more niche population? Also, have you checked out SWGEmu? It is completely legal.
Almost done with tutorial in Entropia Universe. I have only defeated one enemy, the combat seems about the same as any other but that's okay as long as crafting, building and the economic system is decent.

I tried Wurm Online once but I had some issues actually playing, I think it required payment. Is it possible to play at all now for free, at least in the beginning?

Should be. The game is Java based as well.

Cool, I'll check it out as well.
I would recommend Face of Mankind. It has a f2p option, although I've heard some complaints of it being a bit on the whole p2w side.

I prefer a large community, but as long as the community is not tiny (50-1000) then I should be fine. I have just gotten into SWGEMU and I have no idea what the hell I'm doing XD I can't do anything, because I'm too weak, and broke, but it's fun.

crdy123: At first I thought a car combat game?? And then I actually looked, it looks awesome.
Let me know if you're playing it. I'll take you out on a pirate scout.
try Ryzom, alot of people consider it like SWG, you have to craft stuff from components, mobs dont drop gear, so you harvest materials from killing mobs and digging (kinda like surface mining.

Its an old game, but in the next couple of days they are going to wipe the servers and start over, so the newbie areas will be well populated.

It has a F2P model and a subbed model, so you can F2P until you are sure you want to stump up some cash to play.

Subs are inexpensive iirc, something like about €8 per month.

Its a very unique MMO and whil it may not like like wow or rift, wait til you see the racial spells that you get later on, I have yet to see them surpassed visually or with the animations.
