I think GOG should consider one pricing option $5.99. This is because lately their has been a slew of old games that oblivously should be price at the lower stand point of $5.99. In my opinion I think some developers are taken advantage of some users of this site, as steam offers many new games (yes, mainly on special) albeit with some DRM for less than many games of the games on here. I know this is my option but when you consider the age, technical and gameplay elements to a new game they do not stack up, these games complete on nostagic values alone. The $10 price point used to be reserved for special games now it seems like every new release is at the $10 price point

Myst and Riven were released at 5.99. And of all the last releases, for those two I wouldn't be bothered by a 9.99 price tag =P
I agree somewhat with the point that quite a few of recent releases bore the 9.99 price tag while 5.99 would have been more appropriate from the customer's point of view. But I'm not sure if they'd have shown up in the first place if only the 5.99 price tag existed.

Nice, oblivously you do not know how to have a civilised discussion. Yes I do know that GOG probally will not listen to this, but that does not mean we cannot discuss it.
Due to GOGs size I doubt they have board members nor set the price of their games(developers do).

My only suggestion is: Vote with your wallet. If a lot of people agree with you (and following the suggestion), GOG will notice it and (hopefully) react accordingly. Who knows, maybe we could get a few price drops in the future.

I understand what you're saying, but GOG games are still reasonably priced, e.g. the Ubisoft games at $9.99 are still great value, whereas they'd be a little TOO cheap at $5.99
I agree some games may have higher prices than you're prepared to spend on particular ones, but it all evens out. I'm just pleased that an enormous amount of games on here are priced to suit everyone's wallet.

I believe it's up to the publisher vs GOG on what they can negotiate. And I've had plenty of entertainment beyond nostalgia here, more than what I've seen on almost all new titles. Nor am I that bothered by a few $$ in price difference, but will admit there are some I feel should be lower, or, could even exist at the higher price.
Though I have wondered what the world would be like with an odd $7.99 price tier.

I wish I wouldn't have to say shit like this in the first place, cause this was once a nice spot to visit. And I probably still shouldnt. But I'm so fed up with shit like this. It's pathetic.

In many ways I suspect GOG are negotiating from a position of weakness. They're a relatively small operation for the moment, they need the games to build up and if it comes down to a choice of 9.99 or not having the title at all, it'll probably end up being 9.99

I tend to agree somewhat with the TS regarding the prices of the last two releases.
But, on the other hand, those are just two games of a big selection, which is, in my opinion, accurately priced.
And, let's not forget, they just had a huge sale with really low prices.
Even more important, as some people already suggested, we (which means I) don't know what terms GOG is able to negotiate, and how much they are bound by the owner's of the games' rights.
