What, no Jack Keane?

I think my list of games I'm interested in is longer than that. Doesn't help that they keep adding more interesting games each week, in addition to the promos. :o

Never Jack Keane....but than i missed this insomnia nonsense so its only because i don't like the game.
edit: and never say never....bought JK 2 :p
For the others...i've now 423 games on my shelf. Its hard to find others that are interesting...oh, i still find them
but not from GOG.

nope, i don't play RTS games. A strategy game were i can't think for hours about the next move isn't a strategy game for me :p

Oh, i like them too, Germany was always a strong supporter of adventures.
Only that they take time....time i don't have if i even want to try a small batch of my games....can you imagine that i only start buying digital games September 2012 and now have around 1K games on different sites?

No there are no must have on GOG.
My hope is for the future...of course my beloved Pool of Radiance, or LucasArts.
Of course the new Witcher...but only for console as i can't effort to buy a running pc system for it.
Wolfenstein, South Park, Bioshock, GTA, Skyrim, Divinity, Might&MagicX, Wasteland 2....all only if DRM free!
As it is, you know the situation in Germany...i have the unfortunate with Hartz4 and no phone...so my con is a
surfstick, and that is not cheap but slow...hopefully around my birthday i'll get a broadband con....TOI TOI TOI.

I found that pretty interesting. I like this idea of "must have". Well, the gaming interpretation of it. Not like we are talking about oxygen after all. Not sure how many people the thread title will entice to read, but it would add more interest if other people posted their "must have" titles from their wishlists. We could watch as people work through them during sales and stuff.

Ah, that explains it. Yeah, I'm still fairly new to the site, have maybe some 60-ish games now, many bought during the holiday sales. Right now, I'm not sure GOG has a single "must have" game for me, but there's still many ( dozens ) I'm at least somewhat interested in. And of course they keep releasing good games all the time -- for better or worse, you never know what might come up, since they're so secretive about their upcoming releases.

As for Jack Keane, I'd actually like to try it some time. I like P&C Adventures, and they look reasonably entertaining. I think you can get both for cheap at the German Amazon. Or I might grab a copy here, during a future sale.

So, do you have any personal must-haves here at GOG, or perhaps games you hope GOG will release in the future?

As I mentioned earlier in my post, I currently don't really have any. So far this year, my GOG must-haves were The Banner Saga and the Shadowrun expansion, so with those purchased, I'll stick mostly to promos and wait for whatever GOG might have in store for us in the near future.

Definitely interested in the new Witcher game, whenever that will be available. And I'd like to see a few slightly older AAA or AA+ games show up here, in particular Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Mirror's Edge, or Sega's Viking: Battle for Asgard. Mirror's Edge being an EA published game might be the most realistic candidate.
Pick the game that has the strongest and toughest characters, that can survive extreme punishment.....

Theme Park :)

Who else can be ejected from a exploding roller coaster, flung hundreds of feet through the air, just to bounce off the ground, whine a bit, and get up and leave like it was just an unpleasant day at a park?

uhh, I probably should have thought to include this when I posted,eh? Ah well. More interested in other people's opinion of must have than my own, as I know my own tastes. :)

lets see.. according to my shelf I have around 70 games in my withlist, but since the removeal of the "hide owned games" toggle, I pretty much throw anything even remotely interesting into there. Of those titles the ones I could call must have, as in I will definately buy during a sale, are the following:

Deponia 3
Depths of Peril
Flatout 2
Inner World
Leisure Suite Larry: Reloaded
Long live the Queen
Memoria
Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath
Realms of Arcania 3
Rogue Trooper BOUGHT!
Rune Classic
Shadowgrounds Survivor
Shadowrun Returns + DLC
Shivah
Spellforce 2: Demons of the Past
Steamworld Dig
Summoner
Theme Park

Soo.. quite a few!

Witcher 3 I might like, but I have to play the first two to be sure! Castlevania absolutely. Love to see where this new direction is taking what was, imo, a tired franchise. Vikings seems interesting, but its not a "must own" for me. I'd pick it up in a sale of course. I'm easy like that. Mirror's Edge I have played through on xbox360 and it is, from all the games I have played on the console, the worst. There is no way I sould pick that up again if it came here. I already have it on Origin, but I got the key for free with something else. I very much doubt I will even bother downloading it because I will never play it.

Much truth!

Then again, there was that one guy in Black & White.

I own and have played a few of these. Shadowrun is solid if you like the setting, and with the expansion and fan missions it's an even better deal. Flatout 2 is extremely fun, and I normally don't even play racing games! Steamworld is a fun little game, too, although perhaps more of a "wait for a sale" type game. ( Not saying it's bad, just perhaps a bit short and repetitive in its gameplay. )

The Witcher series is amazing, for any number of reasons. Really look forward to what they did on the third one, although I'll probably buy a physical copy -- perhaps even some kind of collector's version. Castlevania is a very-well made game, if you can get beyond the fact that it's not much like the older games, gameplay wise.

Viking is indeed more of a "maybe during a sale" type game. I played it on XBOX and aside from the Viking and mythology theme, I also enjoyed the various gameplay elements ( combat, exploration and even some stealth -- oh, and huge battles with dozens of warriors ).

And I'm very surprised about your opinion regarding Mirror's Edge. Care to elaborate? I also played it on XBOX before and really liked it. It's one of the first games to get the whole "parcours" thing right, or first person platforming in general, for that matter. Also has great music and art direction; looked amazing, even back on the console. Overall, I think it's a unique and well made game, deserving to be part of the growing GOG games library.
I avoid buying PC games in a physical form as much as possible. I would like to do that for Consoles as well. That will have to wait until they are more acceptable of expandable storage. So I will be buying the Witcher 3 here, on GoG. In a few years, when its cheap, and the Aussie Tax is less offensive. Hopefully I will have played the others by then.

Why didn't I like Mirror's Edge? Well pretty much the same reasons you loved it. Take what you said, reverse it, and that was my take. I have tried typing out the reason why, but I get into wall of text and no one wants to read that, especially when it is nothing but my personal negative reaction about one specific game. I didn't mind Faith. Wouldn't mind her being given another shot in a different game.

There is still a free Flash game tie-in available for Mirror's Edge. If they had the money to tidy up the animations, and a bit more time to tweak the flow of the level layout I would consider that game more than worthy of a place here on GoG. It could be better than some of the games here already. I am still waiting for a legitimately good Parcour game. The flash Mirrors Edge could almost be it, given some spit and polish.
