They're selling abandonware, this is almost certainly shady. Even if they are just covering their bandwidth costs there are places that will not charge you for hosting abandonware. As well, abandonware is of questionably legality currently (morally I have no problem with it, I'm just saying, it is possible to have legal trouble due to it).
Typically anywhere you see the word abandonware the answer is "no," because the games that are "abandoned" are actually still under copyright and aren't being sold legally.
TBH if you really desire to play anything thats "abandonware" its usually available as a free d/l somewhere if you search for it, I see it both ways in the arguement I would rather pay for it for somewhere like here for it, however if it wasnt available to even buy anywhere then I would d/l It, I found a DK gold d/l and a system shock d/l on a free site after 2 mins of searching..

Could be weeks/months/years till the game you are after in question is available

That website is the same one that used to charge money to access the downloads available at the original Home of the Underdogs. It's a scam, plain and simple.
There tends to be a little confusion about what Abandonware actually is. Very short and wrong explanation - it happens when for some reason or other the copyrights are either transfered to someone who are not planing to make use of it, or if the copyright holders fold and the copyrights get muddled up in legal proceedings. In both cases the copyright property can be seen as 'dead' (or abandoned) but the fact is that someone somewhere actually own the copyright, have never revoked the copyright and following is that it is NOT in the public domain and all distribution is illegal.

Bottom line - anyone who deals with abandon-ware is not legit.
Charging for abandonware? Leeches. Profiting from copyrighted material no matter the reason is most certainly illegal.
Hell no. It's bad enough when they feel they somehow have the right to give 'abandonware' away.

Damuna: You're right, Delixe! The copyright model is entirely unjust, and nobody should profit from it, not even the copyright holders!

Sorry, I couldn't resist. I'm a tool.
I've been converting music and fixing ID3 tags for 2 days now. I'm surprised I can even type let alone make any sense.

Mp3tag might save you some time, if you aren't already using it.

Yeah, and don't some music software apps help you with this? I'm thinking of stuff like http://www.mediamonkey.com/ , I have no idea if this crap works right, but if it even gets you 50% of the way, that's half the effort.

No idea about that, tbh. But the combination of EAC, Mp3tag, LAME, and FLAC works perfectly. :p
I also have nothing morally against abdonware but abandonware is yesterday's warez and attempting to make a profit from it is going to get their ass in a sling.

There's also about three major abandonware sites where you can probably get this free.

Yeah that's what i'm using. Changing from a Zen X-Fi to an X-Fi 2 which means no more need to use shitty MP3's and iTunes is now relegated to podcasts :)

I use this locally, though I've never found a place to buy FLAC online, only have them from my physical albums which I don't buy anymore unless I'm at a concert (in which case I'll always pick up a tshirt and whatever album I don't have).

EDIT: The guy who wrote EAC is a freaking hero.
