The downloader for HOMMV is weird. It keeps downloading part1 over and over again (part 1 is there, I can extract it just fine) until at some point it stops and reports that it was not downloaded correctly. Maybe I'll try the alternative download linked on their site.

So the keys aren't for getting the expansions for free someplace right? If anyone also got this offer for HOMM V, I'd be really grateful if you let me know where those keys are used and what they do :) I'm not familiar with HOMM so a bit clueless heh.
I clicked "Download" on the HOMM V page. Then it asked me to register an account. Put in my details. Then activated my account via email which took me to an account page with the game added as "Free Download".

You don't need to enter any more personal information on the opened page. Just click "Speichern" (save) with an empty form or leave it be.
You should have received an email with a link to your free "order" by now.

Only one per account, but there's nothing stopping you from making multiple accounts.
