I'm new to the site, but I'm loving the idea already. My question is this... Once I purchase a game, can it be downloaded multiple times? Example: I download MYST to my laptop, it dies so I have to buy a new one. Can I re-download this game onto my new laptop? (basically the idea of kindle books and google apps, etc)

Yes. It's complete point of DRM free.
You can take it anywhere you want and install it on as many computers you want. There are no activation servers whatsoever.

He's just asking about download though, which is not complete point of DRM free :)

When I joined last month I kept asking similar questions thinking there must be a catch and there really isn't one. You're going to love it here.

Now that we settled that... Welcome to GOG, be sure to buy Sacrifice. It's one of the best games ever made, but one of the least-known as well...
Thanks a bunch, everyone. After browsing for just a few minutes, and getting a ridiculous amount of flashbacks, I have no doubt that I'm gonna have a ball here. Thanks for the warm welcome.

Only if you own the said computers, that is. Do not install your games to your friend's machines.

The NOSTALGIA can be overwhelming here for some people. ;)

Is that your opinion or part of the user agreement?

It's single licence - only you can use the copy.

Flashbacks? That suddenly reminds me of something... Wait, it's Flashback! And it's not on GOG yet!

Some forms of DRM forbid you from installing and/or downloading the game a certain amount of times and perhaps even with an expiration date. Technically, you rent a game.
Even if the game is removed from the GOG catalog for purcahse you still have access to it provided you bought it before it was removed. As for the installers, you could put it on a 100 PC LAN and have no problems (# exaggerated for purpouse of proving it's DRM free).
