Greetings.

I got mad at one of steams flash sales which "cost" me 20% today. Started a thread about it on steam and promptly got swarmed by steam fanboys completely missing my point and saying it's all my fault.
Yeah I should have known but this is one of the times I got really irritated at steams sales policy.

I haven't decided if I should keep trying in the thread but here's the link if anyone is interested. :P

I don't know, it sounds like your fault.

*ducks*
yeah probably your fault

*ducks bheind a forcefield *
I hate to break it to you but they are right. Some of the guys might have said it in an asshole kind of way but what they said is correct.
Its not different with the sales here isn't it, once the flash sale is over they're usually back to 50/whatever they have without being in the flash sale? They all want you to check as often as possible...
So yeah, your fault. Sorry ;)
Well yeah, it is your fault.
I don't go to the steam store anymore, although i do glance at TB's steam sales videos which is like 10 mini-reviews of games.

"And here's this game which is 75% off... like it was last time... and the time before that..."

"And here's another steam sale, and this game is on sale again. I'm sure by now everyone has this game"

"AC Unity for 33% off? No, just flat out no..."

Steam doing sneaky sales is the customers fault? Hmmm...
I hate getting burned like that, too. But it's par for the course. Always wait for the end of the sale and then buy, or buy it for what it's worth to you.

Coincidentally, I did a newb mistake this sale too. Yay for newbyishness!
At least this never happens on GoG
***cough***Flash***cough***sale***cough.
Sorry couldn't resist, no offense intended.

There are always a couple people who do the same thing every time GoG uses the same format.

So like no one dislike steams sales practices even here which was my point?

This is getting scary. Soon steam will be our new overlord. :/
It seems not many people does see your point. I find it quite saddening that mostly everyone see a 'fault' here, even the dev saying 'tiny mistake' is filling me with consternation.

I recycle this thread for saying/yelling (once more) that I hate what steam did with big sales. It's once more a case where people 'have to' feel stupid for not paying the lowest dirt cheap price.

Newbie :P
If it was going to be on sale for the whole period, wait out the whole period! If the sale is less than 50%, chances are it'll be a flash/daily. Live and learn ;)
You know you should have waited till the end of the sale to see if they put it on a bigger sale. It's no different than if I bought a game at amazon and then the next day it went on sale. You weren't patient, and it bit you in the butt; it sucks, but that's what happened. Hell, half the fun of these big sales is to wait and see if what you want gets even cheaper!

Steam is not being sneaky. Stop being paranoid.

I think this is the first thread here where goggers took steam's side.... someone take note!
