I signed up for GOG.com because, like the acronym implies, it was a site where I could get old games to play on my PC. In recent updates it seems like the games are getting newer and newer and I just wanna know if this is a trend that will continue or can you guys go back to bringing back some Great OLD games soon :)?
Yes, like the other halves of the Kings Quest and Space Quest bundles already.

What does this thread tell you?

It tells me that a lot of Amiga & C64 fans have not heard of Cloanto.
I'd sacrifice 10% of my soul for Wasteland.
I have a moderate faith in the fact that the GOG.com folks will eventually get a great part of the classic old games I still play today on my PC....

I bought the Ultimate RPG Archives for $70 on ebay, which had Wasteland. Didn't come with the box, but everything else was there. Of course, when I check now, there's a copy, with free shipping and the box for the same price.
Considering that you must have the manual to play Wasteland (since most of the story told throughout the game actually has to be read directly from the manual), it would be a bit annoying to play a digitally distributed version of it, though not impossible.
I shan't be happy until we get Tennis For Two and Spacewar!

Sometimes, the problem is what the publishers are willing to offer. Many of them feel that there is no money to be made in DOS-era games and think they can only really sell far more recent Windows-era games, so that's all they offer GOG. It's the same reason why many of those older games are never seen in retail stores as bargain bin titles. Additionally, there is the ever-present problem of who actually still owns the rights to some of these really old games. The legalities of that can prevent many of them from ever coming to GOG. However, you can be certain that GOG is always trying to get older games, even if it doesn't appear to be that way in any given week.
Hey, wishlist, how's it going, bro?
Yes, I want Ladybug from 1981, please.

If you need the Manual I have it as a .txt file. Also if you are willing to sacrifice 10% of your soul I can point you in the direction of Wasteland packaged with dosbox nd ready to roll.
