Just wondering if GOG is planning to release any actual old games any time soon. There is a long list of games that people want,.....yet it seems all we get lately are small indie games,..and although they are cute to some I guess........they are nothing compared to the old games that people are still hoping to see on GOG.

We make sure to release at least one or more classics every week :)

I have to agree with you. The last thing they put out that I got excited about was Wasteland. Since then I bought a couple of games that were on sale that was not on my wishlist but it was like, "what the hey". They were not indies with the "cute" graphics. I have a few indies like Avadon, but not much.

Then again, not all seem to recognise 5- or even 7-year-old games (ie, what I think is your cut-off for classic, from earlier statements) as "old".
What are ya doin' posting on message boards, GOG? Classic games now. CHOP CHOP!!!

12 hours to the next (probably) classic release, it's nigh then :)
high rated
Looking over the past few months, lets see...

Screamer 4x4
F-117
Pinball World
Hitman 3
Harvester
Summoner
Sin
Sword of the Samurai

You're right, no classics! What the hell is wrong with them!? :P

For some reason I find it hilarious that you referred to Judas as "GOG". It actually made me laugh. :D

They don't use their magic wands like they're supposed to. You know, the ones that cut through legal bullshit and rights issues in half a second.

Well, unlike Steam GOG are classy and have their standards. They don't put out quite as easily.
What I always think about when there is a discussion about gog releasing more old games is, what is old? 5 years? 10 years? 15 years?
I am all in for the idea that gog releases more old games, but perhaps a game someone considers as old is considered as newer game by someone else.

Many of your recent posts make a remarkable amount of sense. It's almost creepy.

Indeed. To me Hitman: Contracts easily qualifies as a classic (especially since it hasn't been widely available in ages), it probably doesn't to many others, though.

What does JMich's data show comparing the number of, say, pre-2008 games at this point in time to last year's point in time?

2013 was started off with a bang: Neverwinter Nights 2 (which I didn't appreciate at the time because I wasn't thinking in the context of the wishlist, but looking now at how high up it is I'm very glad GOG was able to bring it)

If GOG could release an amazing classic tomorrow I am sure they would. They can't just release whatever they want.
