orcishgamer: You know, some day they are actually going to invent something that actually will spell doom for humanity (such as a Liubot) and I for one am going to enjoy helping to extinguish humanity via great indulgence.
That would be a fantastic solution to some of our problems. In fact, that is an excellent method of complete population control. If we just had a layer of robots between men and women passing along exactly the right amount of... erm... population... uh, things would be pretty... great? Keep in mind I'm only entertaining the idea because you caught me on a break between games and porn.
AWESOME!

Licurg: Dude... CNN is a shit TV channel. They're just a bunch of amateur retards. Why does IGN care about what they say? Why do you care, for that matter?
Because people watch and read CNN and will take this shit seriously. Perhaps they will push for more banning of video games in countries because they heard that they are the evils.
A new casual adventure game is in development based on The Twilight Zone. It's in development by Legacy Interactive and Spark Plug Games. It is tentatively set to be released in 2012

"Such new brains are also totally out of sync in traditional school classes, which are analog, static and interactively passive."

This sentence sounds extremely appealing out of context. Think about it, people - what could the solution to such a situation be ?

"Norwegian mass murder suspect Anders Behring Breivik reported during his trial that he prepared his mind and body for his marksman-focused shooting of 77 people by playing "World of Warcraft" for a year and then "Call of Duty" for 16 hours a day. "

They are kidding right? No one could take that seriously, could they? o.O
Excellent!

where have you been when people believed in the same thing in movies, music, and books.
Did somebody say Doom? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMbQNu-d7QU

When will somebody think of the children?! This is serious business, peeps.

But all in seriousness, nothing new here. The name of the game is self-control; some people have it, others meed to learn it. Video game addiction and porn addiction are just outlets that people turn to for their behavior addiction.

This guy explains behavior addiction really well: http://www.videojug.com/interview/behavioral-addiction-basics

To say that video games and porn are responsible for this is very simplistic, and won't solve the problem

First of all, CNN doesn't have the audience they once had anymore. Secondly, as low as the average IQ is globally, i seriously doubt there's that many people who are stupid enough to actually believe what CNN says. There's hundreds of millions of gamers around, that's more people than will ever watch Ted Turner's commie shithole. So unless you live in Germany or Australia, you have nothing to worry about.

i'm not born from the time either, but I know the same thing happened with movies and comic books
