Since there are several threads about this already, let's give this thread a proper ending. :p

My money is on Obi-wan to be played by David Hasslehoff.
A new Star Wars movie is better than no new Star Wars movie.
I don't mind a new movie focusing on Kyle Katarn and Jaden Korr.

You know the fact that people here seems to be worried about this shows that you guys still care about star wars despite the massive shit that was the prequals and edited original trilogy.

I never said that I don't care. I just said that it's possible to release new movies that are worse than nothing. I would be tempted to send George $10 to lock those episodes in a closet and hurl the closet into the sea and hurl the sea into the sun if I could get the original episodes IV-VI back.

It's not that the edits are necessarily bad, it's that generations grew up with the originals and he's determined to wipe them from human knowledge.

If you don't let Jar Jar Binks get to you, the movies are good. Sure, nowhere near Episodes 4, 5 and 6 but not a lot of movies out there are as good as Episodes 4, 5 and 6.

You haven't seen those movies recently, have you? The plot was terrible, the acting forgettable and not even Yoda kicking ass could redeem those crappy films.

Probably the only aspect they got right was the special effects.

It literally looked as though George put out the films as a deliberate F U to anybody that ever loved the original trilogy.
Can't wait for the Star Wars - Disney Princess Christmas Special
I don't know why a lot of you are putting Episodes 1, 2 and 3 and the next movie in the same category as this

It's news to me as well. At least SOMEBODY around here appreciates your efforts ;)
Jar Jar Binks should be the main character and he should become a sith lord.......

MarioFanaticXV: Aside from the admittedly stupid Greedo Shoots First edit, I've never seen why people hate the special editions... Aside from the aforementioned, all the changes are things that either bettered the series (such as CGIing Jabba into episode IV or showing the celebrations) or is simply entirely neutral.

Okay, actually, editing in Episode III Anakin into the scene at the end of Return of the Jedi was rather questionable as well...
Oh c'mon, you have to admit the NOOOOOOOOO in Jedi was pretty damn stupid as well, or the rocks in front of R2 in Obi-Wan introduction in New Hope. Some changes bother me less than others, but some are just down right stupid. :P

Edit: woops ninja'd by the previous mention of the NOOOOOOO.

The ONLY things the prequels did right for me were the previously mentioned special effects, the saber dueling was more lively (though Empire had an amazing Luke/Vader fight), and the joy of seeing Hayden Christensen be set on fire. The only thing George Lucas should have ever added to that for the Blu-ray edition is Obi-Wan taking a piss on his flaming carcass.

I am so happy I have the original trilogy unfucked with, I had copied my VHS versions over to video files and put them on a disc so I didn't wear out my tapes. Now, (as previously mentioned) if Disney puts out the ORIGINAL theatricals on Blu-ray, I will be the first in line saying SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!

Unless that second link is about gay sex, I'm offended.

Oh good lord, and I had almost forgotten about that 0.o. Where did I put my brain bleach?
For those of you who need to recover from that trama and from what George Lucas did in general: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GyVG2_cUng
