They did that again. First when I checked, terraria was for 2,50 bucks. Now, when I've decided to buy it, it's 4,99.

Screw steam. And this isn't just me. If you check steam forums, you will see DOZENS of people saying that they won't buy this game because the price "doubled". So they lost some money today on that decision.

I'm waiting for the developer's reply .

Indeed, it was a steam error. In the news popup, the discount was 50% off already. But then they didn't fix it for a while, and I thought it was the popup that was wrong.

Well, I'm not in a hurry (else I wouldn't try a 4-pack for a game that price already), I can wait for a real 75% off. Steam really should be more careful, as this maneuver will also hurt the developer. Once set to 75% off for a few hours, they should have left it as that. Would probably get them much more.
Yeah.. It doesn't look like a mistake, because Terraria was 75% off for over 4 hours. And now it's 50% off.
Which is still cheap, but there's psychological effect, when you see the price went up double, youll probably won't buy it.
If that's developer's decision, then they screwed up.

Yeah, but this error lasted about 4 hours... They should keep the price, because paople now are just ranting and NOT buying the game.

Screw Steam for allowing people to have bought the game for 50% less than *intended* for 4 hours to begin with?

Terraria is worth every penny and people would have screamed in joy over the 50% already and never thought twice about it if the pricing mistake hadn't happened.

Come on guys, let's not bring this debate here. It's already raging all over the internet.

I wonder if we had anything over here when the same happened to The Witcher, though.
What happened to The Witcher?

Pheace: Terraria is worth every penny
I don't care. I said, it's purely psychological. When you see something for 2.50, you want to buy it, and two hours after it's twice that much, you won't buy it, even if it's worth more.

About the same thing, a few steam sales back. It was not a daily deal, but it got down to 6-7 dollars for a few days and then mid-sale it went up to over 10.

Good thing that prevented me from buying it back then, though, as I got it on GOG later (and I'm playing it right now).

So, does the Summer Sale end in 7 hours or is that when the last day starts?
I think it ends on monday, so still one more day left (the encore sale?)
