KavazovAngel: 27 EUR for Valve's games for the UK.

45 EUR for Valve's games for the EU.

Also, if you buy the games individually, you pay 171 EUR (not discounted), but if you buy them as a package, you pay 221 EUR. WTF!?

Fuck you, Valve!

Looks like I won't be buying anything.
It is common knowledge that games are cheaper in the UK than in the rest of Europe. FYI, it is the contrary in France (where it is most expensive).

hobbes543: I picked up the Telltale pack for $50. I already had Tales of Monkey Island, but I wanted to play the three Sam & Max seasons, Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, The Wallace and Gromit games and Back to the Future, so I feel like I made out like a bandit. Will also give the other adventure titles a shot.
... I got all of that straight from Telltale for like 15 bucks. :x

Finally a good sale on Dark Messiah ($2.50, or $5 with Heroes V). I'll get the demo and test it's performance.

I am not sure it has anything to do with the currency.
Looking at Battlefront 2 and the Hero Pack.

Dunno, but why take the chance? :P
I'm sure "Steam" is FAR down the priorities of most anti-Europe's here, but there's got to be some reason the UK gets a reasonable, if not very good deal most times, and the Euro-Zone countries get shafted....Not like we have the population to compare with either the US or a United Europe....

*shrug*

If you think games are expensive in France, then you ought to see what it's like in the former Eastern Block countries i.e. central and Eastern Europe. You'll be glad to live in France after that bit of culture shock.
I'm interested in HoMM V, but I don't know if I should get it. I have a hard time getting into strategy games, especially if they are difficult. So I'd kind of like to know how difficult it is. Any info would be much appreciated.

It would also be my first turn-based strategy game, so I'd also like to know how easy it is to "get into" the game.

Poland ain't that bad mate. to the earnings games might be expensive but to prices in the west like UK or Australia... well they are smaller. and there is waaay more games per shop than in shops like game, ebgames or internet shops.

speaking bout pc games.
agh .... steam manged to sucker me into the id software pack, heroes pack and KOTOR today ... waiting for a strong reply from GOG as I still have a pretty decent wishlist here
