I don't have a clue about who owns the rights for this lot, but i would like to see them here.
So, on with the begging:
- Obsidian - weird but memorable.
- Black Dahlia - my HD never leaves home without it. Would love to see a GOG wrapped version and extra goodies.
- Amber, J.B. - different but good.
Get this lot and i'll build you a shrine. No, scratch that. A temple. A big one.
Get Capcom and Humongous and I will make love to you GoG.

iWi: Working on it :)

Weclock: DEAR GOD MAN!
so, like, what arcanum and bloodlines?
bloodlines would seriously be like.. bricks in my pants kind of deal. I have it on steam, but if you guys sold it with the soundtrack, I'd buy it on soundtrack alone. although, I do already have a copy.. the legitamacy of that is not clear though!

I can not say more at this stage, but yes we would love to have all their games up on GOG.com. Unfortunately sometimes there is more than one Licensor involved and things are getting quite complicated.

I know you probably can't say but would that include original publishers as well as the game developers & owners of the IP the games are based on? You'd have what, white wolf for bloodlines and wizards of the coast for elemental evil, Arcanum wasn't based on anything was it? Well unless someone has trademarked steampunk...

Even if there doesnt seem to be any guarantee of success yet, that's still awesome news :)
Best of luck with that!
I'd like to see the Kohan series and Independence War (I-War) series around. And the Dungeon Keeper series would be fantastic too.
There are others, of course: Super EF 2000, Total Air War, Strike Commander, Wing Commander series, Privateer series, Tie Fighter/X-Wing Alliance, etc, etc, etc...
The Last Express. I've heard so much about it, but never played it. The rights are apparently owned by a company called Phoenix Licensing. Sounds possible to get on GoG.
Also, King of Dragon Pass. Another one I've heard much about, but never played. The devs (who also published it) are still around, so again, it should be possible.
And finally, The Patrician. I love the original game in the series. It's quite different from Patrician 3, which is already on GoG. The fact that Ascaron are already here should make this one relatively easy to get. And it was their first game ever, so it's historically significant as well.

Hehehe ... Funny enough there is a lot of personal motivation here at GOG.com, as we would love to play these games ourselves. Arcanum was really great and I still remember our collectors edition of Temple of Elemental Evil (CD Projek was the polish distributor and we did full localisation to polish). Good old Days :)

Arcanum is definitely one of my favourite games, and VtM: Bloodlines is also really good with Wesp's unoffical patch. I've never played ToEE and it doesnt seem to be exactly the kind of RPG I prefer, but I'd gladly try it out of curiosity.
And yes, I wish you guys could get more of these games you've localized to Polish... Planescape <3 Torment, Baldur's Gate saga, Icewind Dale games.. just look at where these games are on the wishlist ^^
Hopefully these localizations have given you useful connections :)
+1
Blood One Unit Whole
Blood 2 + Expansion (the nightmare levels)
Tomb Raider series (or at least TR 1-3) + expansions
I would also like to add:
Carmageddon series
Duke3d expansions

Baldur's Gate I/II. Without a doubt, two of the best games ever made and would be an immediate purchase for me on here.
You've already got Apogee on board. Now where is Death Rally?!? :-D

The connections are good indeed, but it does take lots of time to convince people. Sometime great titles are stuck between two or more parties - one owns the code, the other two co-own the brand, etc. I would say these two cases are the toughest barriers, but as you can see we keep on adding new content and for March we have some major stuff comming :)

cogadh: Could be another good candidate for the free GOG treatment like Beneath a Steel Sky and Lure of the Temptress.

DesertFly3: I would heartily support such. Having it already packed in with Dosbox and configured to run would certainly bring it to a wider audience.

I find Arena to be incredibly simple to set up in Dosbox. Heck, I can fix it up and upload it somewhere if people here are interested.

Yeah! This was the game I was looking forward to when the Apogee-talk began.
