Hi Chumps,

As you might have noticed, we’ve been saying the Oddboxx has been released on Amazon and GOG.com when it hasn’t yet been made available from these sources. This was a surprise to us, we were under the impression the folks at their ends would have put it up by now. Evidently they haven’t, but the word is that they’ll be made available by the end of the week!

Please don’t yell at us if they’re not! We’ve delivered the games to Amazon and GOG.com and can only chase them up on it. Fingers crossed!
These and 1-2 Atari titles? I'm excited....
Atari game on Tuesday as the regular release then Oddworld games as a bonus release on Thursday I guess.

Probably.

Though I thought the conference video showed Atari releases on the 19th and the 21st.

I suppose it's not unheard of for GOG to drop more than one release a day. It is rare though.
There appears to have been a mix up of communications between us and them. We haven't tested the titles yet, so it will be a little while before the Oddboxx titles come out here on GOG.

Do they need much testing? I have them on Steam already and they work fine on Win7 64-Bit and we all know how thorough Steam are with testing :p

Hey, it's a good thing GOG are testing them. Take your time guys.

I have the Steam versions and at launch they were broken as hell. The patches since then have made them work fine though, so as long as GOG gets the patched versions we're all good.

If we don't test 'em and there's a problem with, say, Windows XP or something I suspect people won't accept "Well, it worked on Steam" as an excuse. We'll bring 'em along when we can. Stay tuned. :D
In any case, it's reassuring to know they will indeed come to GOG, too. Yay! :)
as long it was better tested as a specific game with moto racers :)

I was just genuinely curious. I presonally like the fact GOG do check the games because as I hinted Steam have a reputation of simply pushing games out the door without even bothering to check if they work.
I kind of wonder how the announced pricing sheet convey's with GoG's strategy though. ^^

"This budget-priced compilation of award-winning classics is now available through Steam, IGN D2D, Amazon, Stardock, GamersGate and G.O.G.

The Oddboxx prices are as follows:

USD GBP EUR
The Oddboxx 14.99 12.99 14.99
Abe’s Oddysee 2.49 1.99 2.49
Abe’s Exoddus 2.49 1.99 2.49
Munch’s Oddysee 5.49 4.99 5.49
Stranger’s Wrath 9.99 7.99 9.99"

GoG supports neither region specific pricing, nor $14.99 packages. Are we going to see Abe's Oddysee and Exoddus packaged for $5.99, Munch's Oddysee for $5.99 and Stranger's Wrath for $9.99?

The first two games are already on GOG for $5.99. I would imagine the second two will be $9.99 a piece, or maybe $5.99 for Munch.

So, how's testing going for every single LucasArts and Electronic Arts games ever made, which will soon be released on GOG throughout the year 2011?

Abe's Oddyssee and Abe's Exodus are both already on GoG, so those are a non issue.
