StingingVelvet: The first two games are already on GOG for $5.99.

thelovebat: Abe's Oddyssee and Abe's Exodus are both already on GoG, so those are a non issue.
Nobody's preventing GoG from changing the price tag, or rather the deal as such, though? ;) Even more so with an announcement as such through the publisher :(

Delixe: Do they need much testing? I have them on Steam already and they work fine on Win7 64-Bit and we all know how thorough Steam are with testing :p
avatar
TheEnigmaticT: If we don't test 'em and there's a problem with, say, Windows XP or something I suspect people won't accept "Well, it worked on Steam" as an excuse. We'll bring 'em along when we can. Stay tuned. :D
Don't forget customer and technical support too. :P

Vagabond: So, how's testing going for every single LucasArts and Electronic Arts games ever made, which will soon be released on GOG throughout the year 2011?
I won't tell you who the big publisher we already signed is (if it's one of those guys or not), but I will tell you that the QA team has been testing & fixing their games for more than six weeks already, and there's still a ways to go...

So, is that a hint that it is not LucasArts? Because their adventures work perfectly under ScummVM and don't need much time for testing. So, we need a pbuslisher with many buggy games.

Hmm, Gothic is already available here :)

We need Gothic 3 here, as far as I know a buggy as hell. Maybe it's a hint that JoWood will be bought by EA? Ahh, it's always fun to create some rumours ;-)

You guys are incorrigible. :P

TheEnigmaticT: There appears to have been a mix up of communications between us and them. We haven't tested the titles yet, so it will be a little while before the Oddboxx titles come out here on GOG.
I'm thrilled the Oddboxx is finally coming to GOG, I've been holding out on the Oddworld games for such an eventuality.
Please let it be EA, I'd kill for a Sim collection :3 (Ant/Tower etc)

I don't think that's a hint of anything. LucasArts adventures might work perfectly with ScummVM, but the gazillion of Star Wars games sure don't. And what they mean by "testing and fixing their games" isn't that they're bugfixing. They're fixing issues with emulation, they're not going around doing what was to be the work of the developer at the time. If the game is a buggy mess because the developer never fixed it, it isn't GoG's fault. However, if it is a buggy mess because it doesn't run on XP/Vista/Win7, then that'd be GoG's fault.

Heh, if GOG did bug fixing we would never have Gothic :p
Awesome I never really played strangers wrath, I found munchs odd about 1000x easier than the two before hand, Did complete all 3.

I have those on steam so will prob just pick up Strangers Wrath once thats available.

I honestly didn't expected to get an answer or a hint, it was just a funny try to winkle out some informations ;-) Buggy isn't maybe not the best description, tweaking fits it better.

Edit: Btw sorry for my bad spelling and grammer, at the moment I lack concentration.

They also have quite a few games from a franchise you may have heard of in passing....
