Licurg: WTF? Why not? Dude, it's one of the best action-horror games ever made ! And it was made freeware by the US Air Force !
Well, never heard about US Air Force either, but RAF is my favorite :-P

Sachys: can you remember where you downloaded it from?

Not the same place I did (though I can't remember where right now) - have it bookemarked on the old machine though, so if you have no luck with the other link, I'll seek it out!

Thanks, I'll let you know.

Sachys: As to the OP - anything genuinely creepy would satisfy - will have a look at others suggestions / wishes later to see if theres anything im not familiar with - soon as macready has done the flamer test!

tarangwydion: So the game won't work if I'm offline?
Yup, Just found out... tried to start it with my wlan turned off.

The game won't start when there's no internet connection. :/
So much for no strings attached - Don't bother and don't waste Internet cards downloading it if you're not planning to be on-line all the time.

- Dickish move, Midway!

mondo84: Here are some personal wishes that fit the scary/creepy theme:

- John Saul's Blackstone Chronicles
- Bad Mojo
- Barrow Hill
- Faust (aka Seven Games of the Soul
- The Lost Crown
- Ripper
- Shadow of the Comet
- Shivers
- Shivers 2
Those would be lovely... Well, I have Bad Mojo Redux on a CD (which I got for ~S1.5, but the rest would be lovely)!

Also:
'Downfall', please!
Harvester - if you think Phantasmagoria II is cheesy, over the top and overdoes gore - play Harvester :)
Blackwell Epiphany if it comes out.
Dreamweb as a free release would be nice.
Prisoner of Ice (got this one on a CD, but it's hell to run it).
Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth
Vampire: The Masquarade - Bloodlines
Many, many more, I guess :)

JinseiNGC224: If GOG was to release a creepy, DRM-free game this fall season, what would you want it to be?
I do believe we have a spooky release or two for you in before the end of October. :)

Anything mentioned here? :)

Do you really expect that I'd answer that? :P
I'd really want Psycho Pinball: it has a Trick or Treat level so it counts!

edit: christ, just noticed how annoying that guy's playstyle is...it is a lot better game than the vid lets out to be...

Just to quote...

Carla: Did you just come back here to ask to borrow my metal detector?
Manny: Yes.
Wishing for that too.
If not asking too much, graphical upgrade would be nice. :P
My guesses, but only theories, for newer games would be Outlast and Doorways. I'd say Among the Sleep or The Asylum but I'm pretty sure if those come out it would be later in the year, not Fall.

For older games, not sure, but this Beasts Pumpkins sounds interesting. Since TET just said one OR two, that could be only one, or we could technically have a newer game, and a classic together to satisfy both playing fields.

I also made a thread about Cold Fear that came out in 2005. That I think would be a game that qualifies, both being 8 years old from the PS2/PC era, but also because it's by a developer and publisher that have worked with GOG already; Ubisoft and Darkworks, and it's supposed to be creepy.

Then there's Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, but that would require a deal with Zenimax and it's subsidiary Bethesda. That would be a very big "grand finale".

Come to think of it...if in a month we have a grand finale, and that's basically mid October, it could be an announcement of a new big deal. If we were to get this Cthulhu game, that could possibly be a good choice, but that's just a wishful theory, nothing more :)

Just give me some creep and I'll be happy for the time being ;D
