Trilarion: Btw. how does the legal gay marriage in some states only work? Do you just have to move to this state, get married and you are married everywhere or are you then married in some and not married in other states (in a legal sense)?
That's a complicated question. In Canada, IIRC, most jurisdictions will recognize your marriage if it is considered valid in the jurisdiction of your domicile. (In other words, Area A might not consider the marriage valid, but if you live in Area B and have a marriage license from Area B, then Area A will recognize it as a form of interjurisdicitonal "politeness", even though they would not have granted it themselves.) However, the question of what counts as your "domicile" can get incredibly weird and arcane.

Not sure how this works in the US, though.

ashout: I decided only to vote for the winner last night. either that, or write in "Jesus Christ" in the write in ballots for president. people on this forum are all pretty much libral, so they would hate to be under the presidency of the son of man.
First Latino president, eh? That depends on how old he is, of course. "Son of man" might be too young to be elected.

Its times like these we need another revolutionary era.

Like we need another Che Guevara, Gandhi, and Martin Luther King Jr. in the world right now.

Hell where is the Martin Luther King for the homosexuals?

Where is the next Che to end this awful drug war?

Almost 75-percent of Asian Americans voted for Obama. That's higher than even the 70-percent of Hispanics who voted for Obama. The news outlets have reported that 70% of Latino votes went to Obama, but none has mentioned 75% of Asian votes that went to Obama, and Asian populations in America are projected to overtake Hispanic populations in about 12 to 15 years.

Demographic breakdowns:

What percentages voted for Obama?

African American = 93%
Hispanic Vote = 71%
Asian = 75%

And finally...

White = 39%

This is why I don't like multi party goverments, you cannot please everyone.

As Abraham Lincoln even said:

"A house divided against itself cannot stand!"
Even with my ill-ease over Obama's use of Drone strikes, I'm still relieved.

WhiteElk: Biggest news for me is that my state made recreational use of marijuana legal! (Washington State) So finally now we might be able to grow some local hemp industries. i have use for it right here on this family land. Is a freedom plant it is, allowing me to craft products that i otherwise would have to buy from rich dicks. And my county can stop wasting money on an unpopular prohibition. i'm still gonna smoke my weed the same i ever did. Now though i might grow my own. But certainly i'm looking at growing me some straight up industrial hemp next spring!!!!
Bearing in mind how the UK follows the USA on many matters, I'm hoping the UK government sees sense on this issue and allows a similar referendum. I'm very pleased for you. And jealous. Very jealous.

I'd *REALLY* love for all you people who romanticize Ché to actually meet him. He'd have a bullet in your heads before you could say, "Hi, Ché!"

The guy was scum. A terrorist. And really didn't like "liberals".

Face on a T-Shirt as a symbol of revolution and anti-capatalism? Bitch, please!

So revolutions are considered terroism?

Hey America your revolution was just one big terrorist act that should not have been revered. George Washington was a murderer.

You too France and what you did to your Monachy.

lol i dont think you have to be certain group, rebel or religious sect to be terrorist anyone who provoke terror is a terrorist as the word defines itself, like the Norwegian bastard murdered 77 people or the American asshole who shoot people in movie theater during the dark knight rises,

Elmofongo: So revolutions are considered terroism?
They were considered terrorism for millennia before the word "terrorism" was even invented. That's why if the government supports a particular band of revolutionaries, they call them "freedom fighters" instead.

On the topic of Che, I think it's hilarious that he spent his entire life fighting against capitalism and corporate control, but nowadays you can buy a T-shirt with his face on it at any major retailer.

Either way how I see Che is completely grey, he is not man who is universilly hated like Hitler and Hitler's sympathizers are a huge minority.
