...the big question is:
Does it make you hunger for Duke Nukem Forever even more?
Nah, not really. I doubt it'll come out in my lifetime anyway.
It'll probably have exactly the same gameplay anyway

Shoot aliens, visit politically incorrect locales, yeah, more or less.
When it's done!

I would be disappointed if it was anything else. DN3D nailed the theme and gameplay, so there's no reason to "fix" it. Far too many modern games incorporate QTEs, forced stealth sections, and other things which make no sense in the games they appear in, and DNF needs none of these.

That's right. If it has even a little bit of that tactical combat realism, with cover-fire and stuff, I'll break their necks. It's great the way it is.
IMO the only thing that DNF should have over DN3D are:
- more one liners
- more aliens
- more babes
- more awesome, little things to do. In DN3D, you can kick butt, give money to babes etc. I'd like to see more crazy things that Duke can do
Developers are often forgetting that it's the little things you add in a sequel that make fans happy; instead, they're usually fixing things that aren't broken
The problem with more Duke Nukem one liners is that no more Evil Dead movies have been released, so 3d Realms has had issues with stealing Ash Williams lines.

That explains everything.
Rep for that, I literally lol'ed.
Well if they're basically releasing the same game with new maps, what the smegging hell is taking this long?
Oh, DNF... what a nice urban legend :-D

Now, it can't be called an urban legend... it was way older than that.

I think it.s been in development longer than you have
I gave up on waiting for that train a long, long time ago.
