Didn't he already answer for his crimes when he got shot? I mean, if they had arrested him he probably wouldn't have gotten the death penalty, maybe not even life imprisonment.
It also happens with cops, with the military, at the workplace... Abuse of authority happens everywhere, so I don't see your point...

How about this:
"Going on a rampage and then offing yourself as the cops approach seems extra cowardly. The people he murdered did not get to choose the time and place of their death. Why should the murderer be able to pass on peacefully and painlessly?"

I'm not sure I agree with such an argument but I do have some for sympathy for it.

No it's choosing to not care much anymore. There are so many tragedies and horrifying things reported in the media that if I should think about it too much and care too much I'd probably get depressed. I don't like being depressed so I there you are. It's sometimes a choice to not care. Better to concentrate on positive things.

They can just kill themselves in prison if they really want to. What should be implemented is proper punishments for such crimes, like flaying them alive, or impaling them.
