If they let the nukes fly then they're going to be so fucked, america now has a president who'd be likely to help (bush probably would have too, maybe just not for honourable reasons), we'd probably help out (australia that is, not GOG), most of the other nations around north korea aren't exactly happy with them and even CHINA is opposing them so thats an indication of how unpopular you are.

I'm thinking of taking bets on who's going to wave the flag first. Hmm, South Korea has the big, bad, United States and the majority of the UN on their side? DPRK doesn't stand a chance.

For the past years North Korea was heavily dependant on other countries aid, mostly humanitarian & fuel. With deliveries cut short (due to leader's waning power and succession crisis), Korea probably wants to use blackmail and get them back.
They used blackmail before to get what they wanted, so why change something that worked more than once.

I think uncle Kim's chances to achieve something are miserable.
With threats he will be just more hated, if he attacks South Korea, he will be defeated and if he is retarded enough to use nuclear weapons, well, his "glorious" DPRK may turn into a wasteland (real life Fallout anyone?).

Obviously North Korea doesn't stand a chance. But I think the point is that if they're crazy enough to use nukes, we'll see insane amounts of human suffering and deaths on both sides of the fence. How many people are there in Seoul, again? And the leaders of North Korea are crazy enough to do just about anything...

Speaking of nukes, by my flawed calculations, if the North does indeed set off a lovely missile into Seoul, the nuclear radiation would most definitely spread to China, and they don't want their only friend turning their back on the DPRK... so I don't expect a nuke exchange anytime soon. Expect conventional explosive use only, possibly a DMZ breach by the North if they decide to attack.
I also have a hard time believing [url=http://www.kcckp.net/en/]guys want to attack South Korea. Kidnap some decent CSS coders perhaps?

Anyone want to make a guess how Kim's fate will turn out? Assassination? Death by lightning? Eaten by mutant gophers? Or Saddam Hussein hanging?
Btw in case of a nuke strike, are you all going to build anti rad bunkers? I know this sounds like crazy talk, even right now, but I think we're taking life for granted, and with each passing day, the threat of nuclear devastation grows all the more

Radiation spreading to China is hardly an issue here.

I don't think China would be pleased, and that's my point. These aren't suicide bombers here, these are just really poor and stupid people whose sole religion/ideology is juche, meaning self reliance. For crying out loud, the people their think of both Kims (Kim Il-Sung and Kim Jong-Il) as divine angels! They don't want to kill everyone, they just want to kill South Koreans, Americans, and the Japanese.

I don't know. The way the leaders treat their own people makes it pretty clear that they're not worth much to them. They look a lot like those personality cults that tend to go out in a blaze of mass-suicides, tbh.

Let's hope no nukes are involved, and I hope my amateur political philosophy is correct.
