We could go on like this until the shortest night of the year falls, but we don't want to stop you anymore. Enjoy the (dare we say it?) mind-blowing 2013 #NoDRM Longest Day of Gaming Super-Sale!

Happy Summer Solstice, everyone!

NOTICE: If you own some of the games in a bundle, you can complete it with the missing games with the bundle discount applied. All you need to do to get only those you are missing, is to click "buy now" button on a bundle, and then manually remove the games you own from your cart at the check out. Sorry for the inconvenience!

DukeNukemForever: Someone asked it in another thread, but again, can you activate the option to add the bundles to a basket to get one order please? I'm interested in some bundles, but knowing who easily Paypal get's nervous I don't want to test them how they react for multiple orders in a short time.

Btw, good overkill ;-)
I figured out how to do this on Tuesday :)

If you add the games one by one out of each bundle, instead of adding them by bundle, you can get as many as you want. AS LONG AS you buy every game in each bundle you want, the sale price shows up in your cart.

That worked for me on Tuesday. Try it, but just double check the price of each game in your shopping cart to make sure it worked before you actually pay :)

gibbeynator: Again, no extra % off for people who just want to buy one or two games from each pack?
No, sales are to make people spend buy more games thanks to the higher % off. What's the point in giving the same % off to the people who buy only games they want?

Add all the games you want to the cart, then proceed to checkout. You will get all the discounts that apply. No need to click "Buy Now" on the promo pages.

davosseaworth749: Wow, good stuff! Will grab a few before the day is out :)

EDIT: Question: I love strategy games, however I also am a very story oriented person. With that in mind, if I buy HOMM 3 ( which everyone is always praising) will I be missing out on story? Is it unnecessary to have played the previous two?
avatar
pds41: I think it's completely unnecessary to have played the previous two. The first one didn't really have much of a story; the second was a stock good vs evil thing. I'd say the link between the two is probably even less than between Morrowind and Oblivion.
OK, thanks for the info :)
pretty sure first day had the alan wake bundle at 90% off ... and today is 80% ...

nijuu: ahhh so thats it ;)

Omerta bundle is $10.96.
How about that oh haters? :P
avatar
Austrobogulator: But, is it actually worth playing - regardless of price?
According to the reviews it got throughout the gaming press: No.
According to the few fans it has: yes (but then again fans will always say that and almost anything can get a few fans, whose taste it accidentally hits :-) )

So is this going to be ALL the daily deals during this whole sale? Because if so I'm just gonna go ahead and grab a bunch of games that are on sale, but aren't in the daily deals.
"Today is the longest day of the year (at least on the Northern Hemisphere it is). That means, you can play more games before the night falls, than on any other day. We want to make sure you have plenty of excellent titles to play"

I so love you guys.
So it seems those are all extra (50%+) deals we will get. That clarifies situation...I think I go for Wadjet Eye bundle.

Hesusio: Well fuck me, GOG. That's almost 10% of the entire catalog. I know I'm not going to get an answer here, but how the hell are you going to top this in the next 2 and a half weeks of the sale? Surely you're not going to blow your load on day 4 of 21, right?

I'm rather torn on whether I should buy a few games now, or hold off in the hopes that there's some sort of "95% off the entire catalog" grand finale on the last day.
What we see today is what they are going to release next days. They did that on Christmas sale, and I think it's because they want to release their sales before Steam starts its summer sale.
Zafehouse Diaries @75% is pretty nice as well :)
I really appreciate that previous purchases count towards bundle discounts. I picked up a few titles I hadn't planned on because of this.

Thanks.

This is true, the 90% was only for that one day.

You're correct.

I wrote about the first Alan Wake sale

AND, I bought them :)

Still a good deal, though, even at 80 percent off.
