There should be no threat to GOG from piracy.
If you were to go to a certain famous torrent site, I would be in no doubt that you could find every game available here now, and I expect every game that is yet to be released here.
These will not be GOG exe files, because they have been available for years anyway.
A publisher would have to be vindictive to deny the evidence that such things are available illegaly for free and have been for a long time, and doubly so to blame GOG for it.

DRM or not you'll find all the games you want including the newest on big torrent sites.
And as said earlier, publishers releasing protection-free versions of their old games on GOG do not take any additional risk, the game is already pirated, it doesn't change a thing if someone upload a GOG version of the game on P2P networks.
Blaming the removal of the protection would be completely irrational..

It's good that gog's games aren't getting torrented. But it's because of values CDP dedicated itself to since the very release of Witcher: to compete with piracy by giving advantage to legitimate players. And so, our games are always here, no need to search torrent sites for'em if cd gets lost or broken (and you don't have to install any shitting program for that single purpose, hear that Steam?) yet - as with torrented games - everything we buyed we use as we wish to. And unlike torrents, there is tech support for every single game in catalogue, available at once. Combined with bargain prices, it makes gog's offer really worthwile.
Instead of getting "oh community, we ask you, don't pirate our drm-free games" CDP should just continue their efforts as they did before.

Only 4 different GOG games are available. Not bad, not bad at all. :) This quite shows that the community is loyal to GOG. :)

If people can't pay $6-$10 for software, they are idiots. Even the $60 price tags on modern games is rather cheap when considering the amount of effort required to build modern software.
P2P networks and their users are an absolute joke, just a bunch of douchbag freeloaders who think everything in the world should be free.
I'm attaking nobody here, obviously you all and I all get it :) Keep supporting retro games and all the fancy shmancy new stuff as well, keeps gaming moving in the right direction and keeps the talented folks who make them and distribute them in a job!

Hey GOG, go tell LucasArts that nearly all of their titles (even their older ones)o are up on the torrent networks and see how fast they make the deal to come on your service. ;)
